Just what I was looking for!

I was going back and forth between this one and the ubbi because with the ubbi you can use regular trash bags. I picked this one because reviewers said the hands free feature was nice and it keeps all odor out compared to the ubbi - both true. The refills aren’t that expensive and they go longer than you think they would. I would rather have the smell trapped in there than my nursery stinking and buy the refill bags.

I spent a good amount of time reading reviews and “best of baby gear” lists before choosing the Munchkin Step diaper pail for my baby registry. I’ve been using it for about 3 months and am very happy so far. The features I like are: 1- Odor control-this was my main concern as I feel like I have a very active sense of smell. The baking soda puck in the lid and twisting motion of the bag when you shut the lid completely contain the bad smells in my opinion! 2-I like the foot pedal so I’m touching less while handling messy diapers. 3-The two options for bags-either single use that click in place or multi refill ring that you cut. The refill ring may be annoying to some people as it requires more effort to knot off the bag and cut it but I was familiar with the concept from using a similar device for cat litter. I found both bags to be very strong at holding the weight of the diapers (while I borderline overfilled them). The Click and seal bags were very easy to install, remove, and seal shut. I would recommend purchasing the option that includes the refills and samples so you can try both out! Unfortunately neither of the options are waste free(either extra click and seal plastic or the plastic refill cartridge) but that’s a sacrifice I felt important at this time-having stinky diapers when I can’t open the windows wouldn’t work for me. The only thing I would caution on is when the diaper bag is full and no longer has the space to spin, the lid makes a noise that sound like the plastic is breaking if you try and force it shut. This is easy to resolve as it tips you off that it is time to change out your full bag! Not a deal breaker! I took a chance on this pricey model but I think the fact that it really contains the odors makes it worth the price and would 100% recommend this for your nursery!

This thing is amazing! Holds a good amount of diapers and holds in the smell as well! It’s pretty sturdy and doesn’t take up too much space. Isn’t very noisy and the lid doesn’t slam down; pretty quiet overall. Great value for money and looks good in white; matches any nursery decor. Overall would recommend!

My daughter going to love this for her baby shower

This is not sturdy. The panel in the front never sits right and is always opening. It also makes such a loud grinding sound every time we close the top lid. I would definitely not recommend

This garbage can has been able to hide all the smell that comes with baby diapers. It is circular in shape and is the perfect height to not stick out like a sore thumb. It does not break easily and was designed to be sturdy. A very functional garbage pail for diapers!

I’ve had this diaper pail for 3 years… it finally broke & best believe I’m going to buy another! Never had an odor problem & holds a lot diapers !! 10/10 worth the money .
