The description of the product is untrue, the coasters are described as genuine marble, they are in fact plaster. Do not waste your money on this product

Like - I think the mats are attractive and they protect the table top but someone has spilt coffee and they stain.

I really wanted to love this coaster set. The ceramic coasters are designed to look like marble and have a nice texture, though I worry about their porosity over time—will they stain? Unfortunately, my main issue is with the holder. While the coasters fit inside, the metal edges grip them too tightly, making them very difficult to remove. This completely ruins the set for me, because the last thing I want when holding a hot cuppa is to struggle to get a coaster out with one hand! It’s such a shame, as the coasters themselves had potential.
