Although initially a bit taken aback by the weight of the carrier itself, my Focus doesn't seem to mind. The Atera has clearly been built to last - a quality bit of kit.

No more trying to lift the bikes up 4-5 ft. It folds down nice and flat and it is very light making it easy to be stowed away in the garage locker or car boot. I did a lot of research on tow bar carriers and this came out by far the best on the market. There is nothing negative that I can say about it. i would recommend this carrier And give it 5*****.

**Q: Hello...what type is the electric connector from rac to tow bar I have heard I might need an adapter..do let me kinow**
A: It's a 7pin N Type. Pretty standard for the UK & Europe.The connections (on the rack) are configured thus: Top row - 2 male. Middle row - three female. Bottom row - two male.Hope this helps,

**Q: Is this the product which has been discontinued? The one which slides (rather than hinges) and holds 2 bikes only?**
A: I don't think it has been discontinued. The bikes do slide down to access the boot. Yes, it only holds 2 bikes.

**Q: Does this fit the VW T6 tilting back far enough to allow the tailgate to open?**
A: It does, but it also depends how wide the handlebars are on the bike nearest the van. If it’s a mountain bike with wide bars you might not get the tailgate past the bar, so the tailgate only opens halfway.

Review dated 25 January 2015. The bike carrier itself is actually excellent, but instead of the 022 600 Amazon have shown a photograph of the Atera 022 601 which is a 3 bike carrier, unlike the 022 600 which only holds two.
