Decent UV light with zoom is a great feature. You can isolate your inspection area around lines and fittings or cooling system hoses as you look for UV leaks in AC and radiator cooling systems.Very bright White LED feature too. Great product and a good price.

Soldier here - I remember I was a barracks manager, and we had a real problem of people pulling the fire alarms at the worst hours of the night, so I tried to get creative by buying some UV dye and a black light and identify the culprits whenever we piled out. I was tickled to find that this could also just be a normal flashlight and a strobe light - it's bright and durable. I was also surprised to find this was not made in China, but rather, in Germany!Anyway, I lost that one I bought, but I loved it so much I bought another!The battery life could be better, but given the brightness, it's impressive it lasts as long. Takes 3 AAA batteries, but it can also take one of those big lithium ion batteries, and may last a little longer.I currently have an issue with mine - I have a build-up of moisture inside the lens after trying to wash oil off of it, but I don't know how to disassemble it to let it dry. Could I get some feedback from the manufacturer about how to addressthis?

They work great. Needing a UV light to find A/C leaks and also a flashlight for working on vehicles. This covers both.

this has 2 bulbs, it cycles through some different settings for the regular LED but just one for the UV. I use it for detecting leaks in refrigeration and this one shows the dye much better than my last. I can use this on cars when overcast and still outside. Usually i need to wait until it is dark out or take the car in the garage and close the door. it is small and light enough to maneuver around the front of an engine or under a refrigerator and makes dye stains visable.

I saw the other reviews saying that the black light didn't work or stopped working, but it was such a cool flashlight for such a good price, that I talked myself into believing they just had bad luck and got the bad ones, but I had a good chance of mine working. Well, it's a decent flashlight, and the UV light did work twice, but never again after that. Now I feel like I got cheated. I have other flashlights, I bought this for the UV light. Don't waste your money if you are buying this because you think the UV light is a cool addition, because it does not work more than a couple days, then it will stop coming on at all.
