Cinema Secrets Ultimate Foundation

I am a big fan of and have had to pleasure to sit in makeup master classes with the founder Maurice Stein. He has quite he interesting story of how he got his start and he has so much knowledge and technique that he openly shares with other artists who are willing to learn. I have been using this brand since 2007 and I cannot say enough about the quality. I use it both as a makeup artist and for my own personal makeup routine. This foundation is best when applied slightly wet, plus you don’t use too much product this way. It gives just the right amount of coverage to conceal my freckles on days that I feel like it m, but can also give a lighter coverage when I feel like showing my freckles off!

I really like the consistency of this theatrical makeup. My skin stays hydrated even with long hours of wear.

Finally, I have found a shade of foundation that matches well enough to my normal skin that my jaw and chin now look similar to my neck color. (I do not wear foundation on my neck.) The 501-11 shade is described as a light pink beige, but it is really cool, fair beige with just a hint of pink. I kept checking my jaw and chin foundation outside and noticing other foundations appeared too peachy or too dark of a beige alongside my natural neck color. The 501-11 appears to go on as too light of a color, but it disappears into my skin and looks perfect after setting with my cameo loose powder. I see why many other gals call this their HG (Holy Grail) foundation!

Years ago I bought the forerunner of this makeup at a theatrical supply store in Hollywood area recommended by friends in the business. The makeup lasted me for years since I only used it for special occasions - it had heavy coverage that wasn’t necessary every day. Now that I’m older, heavier coverage is welcomed and this new makeup from Amazon is great. It evens out my complexion and covers age spots and imperfections. So happy to find a reliable source of this great, reasonably priced makeup solution.

I use this product for concealing my dark circles around my eye area. It is not sheer. It is so perfect to even out my skin color. Been using it for 20 years. It’s the best!!

I have used Cinema secrets before and loved it. It is expensive. But if you’re using it for a photo or covering up some age marks or freckles that got out of hand. It’s pretty darn good. But if you can’t get the right color then it’s not gonna help you. I suggest those who are doing the pictures for this product make it easier for the customers to pick the right color. The color I saw on this product was much darker than what I saw on Amazon.

I heard about this product from a reality-TV personality and did not really know if it was the real deal. I have to say I love it! It covers well (I have freckles), does not feel heavy and blends great! It’s the real product not a imitation and I would buy it again from Amazon in a heart beat. Make sure you research your color prior to purchasing but you do not need to worry about the quality.
