I do some 'hobby' bookbinding and cutting card and paper accurately is a must. A common requirement is to "square up" the paper part book edges once they are assembled and before you put them into whatever cover you are making, for this you need something that can cut through 200-300 pages cleanly, this can do that well. This is a well made and heavy bit of kit, the delivery driver wasn't that amused with carrying it up my drive !If I needed something for a commercial use where I would be using it quite a number of times a day every day in a business, it would not be the right tool, I would need to spend a lot more money than this cost for that level of use. What makes this such good value for a hobbyist such as myself is that it is very robust and when you look at the price of simple guillotines that would only be good for paper and struggle with more than one sheet of card, its a real bargin.

I wasnt too sure about my purchase at first but this product seem to have good reviews so I went with it. Its a really heavy item so you have to think about storage. The blade is really good and actually cuts well. The only thing is the markings are very basic and it takes a lot if testing to cut odd or not so common sizes (for example A6). I’m not sure if there is a solution for this, but for now i’m just making my own markings. Wont be long before that will get confusing! Overall I would recommend this product, the markings will be an issue for most products in this range!

Received today and have to say very impressed, its a beauty and a beast, heavy and sturdy bigger than i thought but ive made room for it. will be using a lot fingers crossed it will be the work horse i need.not very many instruction with it but its simple to work out and there are you tube videos out there to help.would defiantly recommend this product and company to my friend..
