Quality, convenience, and value in a complete package.
A very handy and functional tool. Cordless for convenience. Includes exactly the two blade sizes I need... one suitable for panfish and one for larger fish. The supplied blades were extremely sharp. As others have mentioned, they are a little fidgety to install, but it's really no big deal. They stay put.The included case is very nice! It's quite slim (think of the form factor as being like a large book -- see photo) and there is room inside for doing some custom work to make slots for additional blades if you desire. The fact that it will reportedly accept blades from other brands is a plus, if accurate. The battery has the capacity to very easily handle as many panfish as I usually clean at once (10-15). The battery has a cool "fuel gauge" to read out the current charge level and a nice A/C-powered battery charger is included.I haven't used it enough to comment on blade edge retention, but I can easily sharpen that type of serrated blade with a small triangular stone, so it's not a concern to me. The build quality looks and feels very good and the ergonomics are excellent. The only drawback --and it's a minor one-- of an electric filet knife is that the handle is much larger in diameter than a normal filet knife and the blade is a little less flexible, so it's necessary to set up your fillet board next to the edge of the counter or table or raise it up on a block so you can get the knife horizontal to your work. I know that some folks like to keep a traditional filet knife handy for taking the skin off the fillets, but I don't find that necessary.I'm happy with this KastKing knife and think it's a good value, like their other products. I've been debating buying an electric fillet knife for years and I'm glad I finally got one.

Great Value! Large but rugged design
My first impression is that this is a well built unit. The fit and finish is a little less polished compared to most KastKing products. The kit comes with two different blade styles - I'll probably use the smaller blades more often but it's nice to have the larger blades when needed.I like the safety switch location that makes it easy to disable the knife. The blade release switch is out of the way which prevents accidental blade release which is a problem on my other knife.I need to test out the kit on a few fish to see how I feel about the hand guard. The grip is a bit large diameter but has a non slip material and that guard should prevent your hands from slipping toward the blades. The bag is a great added value to help keep everything organized. Overall I would say this is a great value product. Time will tell how well the battery holds up.

Blade design needs improved.
This knife is pretty good it's quite, comfortable to hold and enough power to do the job. I've cleaned bout 25 sand bass in the last week an still have battery power off first charge. I really like the case it's durable enough to take with me an store's nicely to keep it all in one place.. However the con is the blades look great but really struggle to clean fish. Hard to get through the ribs and fillet. The blades are more like a bread knife not aggressive enough for cleaning fish. They'll do it but it's a struggle. The pro is my old rapala blades fit an work great. If they would redesign this issue I think it would be a perfect alternative to the higher price knifes.

Innovative fillet knife: Pros and Cons
No muss no fuss. I received my new cordless fillet knife with 2 double blades inserts. They are robust, sturdy and easy to clean. I will need to buy some fish to test it out and follow up this review. The rechargeable battery comes with a charge indicator meter and the double-blade construction, which can be separated for cleaning, should easily glide through the fish meat. Stay tuned for additional comments after I test drive it.

Sharp, convenient and gets the job done
Sharp, convenient and gets the job doneI personally DO NOT like to clean fish indoors and prefer to dispose of as fast as possible. This is great for if you are outside at a campground or if you just prefer to clean fish outside of your home without plugging it in. I had a Rapala cordless filet knife and this one is just as good if not better for a better price. The knife itself is sharp and is pretty comfortable to the touch.

Very nice fillet knife
I fillet hundreds of crappie in a season. Having a good cordless, Electric knife is a must.Knife feels very well made. The rubber coating keeps a sure grip even when wet/slimy. Easy to wipe off and keep clean afterwards.Has great battery life.Blades are very sharp and the finesse blades are perfect for crappie/gills.The carrying case is very nice. Slim profile compared to other knives I've owed.Im very satisfied with this purchase and expect this knife to hold up well.

Taking Fishing to Another Level
Pretty cool device. Comes in a nice sturdy case, not a floppy bag. The blade insertion took a little wiggling but after the first time it got easier. Several safety measures in place which is good. Handle is large and sturdy. Nice gift for anyone into fishing as it is a nice to have device.

Not great
I wanted to like this knife and just have something different than everyone else but it just wasn’t possible. The company was understanding and helpful once I got past the initial customer service rep.Reasons I wouldn’t recommend this knife:- Blades will not cut. I had trouble on the first crappie and couldn’t break skin by the third crappie. Very bad serration design.- The handle gets extremely hot after 3 to 4 minutes of use to the point that it caused complete failure of the knife after 3 fish. I had to borrow someone else’s knife just to fillet 15 10” crappie.- Blades are very difficult to install and remove.- Odd trigger guard gets in the way.- No fault of KastKing as a company because they are just rebranding a knife and retailing it with this product but it is the worst knife I have used over the last 30 years.Pros:They stand behind their product and gladly accepted a return of the product.
