I have tried several splints for trigger thumb, but this one by far is the best!! they give you several sizes to choose from and the fit is great! It's made out of hard plastic so your finger doesn't sweat and it prevents you from overworking your ligament in your thumb to provide healing! It's not like you can go several days without your thumb! LOL If you're having a problem with a trigger thumb or finger give these splints a try!

Great product

First time with trigger thumb. Was told to use a spica brace but found them useless for me. After research saw that the oval eight brace is recommended. It was perfect. Doesn’t limit the use of my hand. Able to do daily activities and also protect my thumb. Only wish they carried more than 1 in the size needed. I had to purchase another set (which was really no big deal) because it is easily lost and having a spare is necessary.

Just out of the blue one day I felt my fingers seizing up. I thought they were cramps and it was something I had never experienced. I later found out it was trigger finger. Scared the crap out of me when I read it was something not treatable without shots or surgery. Both of which were a no-no for me. I feared my fingers were going to be this way for the rest of my life. I shopped on Amazon and found these and thought I would try it out. Honestly, they worked amazingly well. My thumb was the most painful so I ended up having to wear it all the time. I wore it everyday for about 3 months (this purchase is my second bag) and my finger feels 85 - 90% better. The pain and inflammation are gone. It's amazing! I am keeping them around for days I start feeling soreness. I just put it on for a day or so and it really helps. I wish they were a little softer on the edges. That would be my only negative. They don't hurt necessarily but depending on the fit it can rub on the skin. if there was some rubber or silicone edge that would be ideal. Still, for what they do, I highly recommend.

this keeps thumb from bending so there is no pain but, out of 5 of the "splints" only 2 will work because most are are too big. suggest changing instructions for measuring. we measured the finger that had pain. one fits well, 3 are too big and one is slightly too small. I dislike throwing something away that hasn't been used so it's imperfect, though one did work it fell off soon after we got it and its either lost in the house or the dog ate it!

I have a trigger thumb, and the summary of this product stated it would stabilize the thumb so it could heal. As soon as the product arrived, I took out what was Labeled "10" (assuming it would fit the thumb), and it immediately felt uncomfortable, the hard plastic cut into my thumb, and it still allowed my thumb to bend. I went to package labeled "9" assuming my thumb was too small for the "10". The "9" was WAY too tight so in addition to the hard plastic cutting into my thumb, it was also cutting in more, leaving red marks in my thumb. My recommendation? Scroll on. I found a MUCH better option the same night, and I can already feel the difference. You get what you pay for.

These work better than expected. I developed trigger finger in my middle finger, fortunately it locks in a downward position and not up lol. I like that these are plastic, so no issue with washing hands. They are Caucasian toned so not that noticeable on my hand as i am caucasian ( not sure if they come in other colors .) Comfortable to sleep in. And Very Inexpensive. They come as a set of different sizes. Now that I know I wear an 8 I will look to see if I can purchase just that size as I’m hoping to not need the others!

These are a poor copy of the Oval-8 thumb and finger splints they imitate. They are sized larger, the plastic is thin and sharp-edged, and unless you take the time to sand the edges, they'll irritate the digits they're trying to soothe.
