This is the perfect solution for an added level of security when walking your dog on a prong collar. I have had my dogs' prong collar release on several occasions. Luckily, each time I was able to get them back easily but one of these times I knew I was not going to be so lucky. I started looking around and found these two clips. I wasn't sure, but for the price I decided it was worth a try. I have just used them when walking my 2 70+lb labradors and I felt so much safer and secure. I know that if the prong releases, I will still have them on the leash. They are short enough that they don't hang and cause the dogs to be distracted. I highly recommend these for any other owners who use a prong collar. Better safe then sorry!

This is such a great purchase for the price. I have a clip attached to pretty much every single one of my dog's leashes, and the extra security gives me peace of mind when we're traveling or walking. They are very easy to use, and the clips seem to be good quality.

I needed these as backup for head collar and prong collar (not both at same time - different activities). They seem sturdy enough for an emergency backup. The length includes the clips - the webbing is 4” at its maximum length. I expected the webbing to be 7-8” plus the clips. This will work to connect 2 collars but if you have a large dog I don’t think you could connect between a collar and harness because it would be too short. I definitely do not recommend it for walking 2 dogs - get a coupler for that - those have clips on both ends and a ring in the middle for attaching the leash.

I was afraid they would be low-quality since the price was so low, but they are sturdier than expected. I have used them with big dogs, but it hasn't really been put to the test with a dog breaking free of a slip-lead and putting its full force on the backup clip. Not sure how it would stand up to a large dog intent on breaking free but I would guess it's plenty of security for dogs under 30 pounds for sure, and maybe more.

I use these to back prongs up, and they serve that purpose. Given the experience of others in these reviews, I examined the stitching on each item and there are 2 that I don't intend to use, as the stitching is barely overlapping the edge of the fold.

My dog wiggled her way out of her gentle leader harness (not just the piece that goes over the muzzle, but also the part that goes over the back of the head), leaving me holding an empty leash-harness combo and her gleefully tearing down the street. I think the back section of the head harness loosened over time without my realizing that could happen. I've started using this connector as extra security against as recurrence. I attach one portion to the D-ring on her collar and the other to the D-shaped loop at the base of the leash (just in case the leash connection fails). It's the perfect length for that purpose. It takes just a few seconds to connect to the collar and provides insurance against two different types of leash/harness failure.

use these for my Belgian Malinois and they are very good quality.
