Clever idea but you can't turn it off.
I liked the idea of the pressure-controlled switch on this warmer, and the design is attractive. But for me, it's got a serious flaw: there's no off switch. Yes, it switches off when you lift the mug--but unless you unplug it, it heats up if anything is set on it. A phone, for instance. Ask me how I know.

Keeping it real.
Been using it for over a week, and the product has thus far worked as intended with the provided mug, have not tried with any others, but it is doubtful that it would produce the same affect given the lack of a metal flat plate to conduct head in most as well as a lack of a cover. When fresh boiled, it maintains my tea at the perfect threshold of "delightfully hot but drinkable" and has yet to cross the boundary of either extremes of "scalding my tongue" and "lukewarm spit". This is different than If you're warming leftover/cold tea, and covered, it can take a while, half an hour and going depending on your preferences. This is not to disparage the product, for it works as intended and as stated, taking 5-10 minutes for the plate to warm up. It's plain unrealistic to expect a puny hotplate for your DESK to do the work of a KITCHEN STOVE and heat your drink to boiling in a matter of minutes. Expecting otherwise is unrealistic and plain dangerous, and speaking frankly, I'd rather not have the hazard of a hot plate of several hundreds of degrees sitting right on my desk. Moreover, I'd question the common sense of anyone who does.

It actually keeps drinks hot.
I'm very happy with this product. It actually keeps coffee hot, not just warm like Mr. Coffee. I wish the cup was a little larger, but it's ok.It holds one and a half cups, full up. If I let my drink cool down, the 'platform' will heat it back up to an ideal temperature and hold it there. Note: It must sit on a hard surface, like a tray or table, not a sofa. And it's very cute. Good quality.

Everything is very nice for the price point
Bought two of these. One for my Grandpa and one for my dad. I had no idea that the product came with the cup and spoon as well. Everything is very nice for the price point. Very high quality. Also heats up other mugs.

Safety Hazard
This device looks nice, warms mug contents and shuts off when the mug is removed. Unfortunately, the device is not smart enough to distinguish between a coffee mug and a cell phone. The weight of either will activate the hot plate. In my opinion, this appliance is a fire hazard at least, sitting on a desktop. waiting for an inadvertent object to turn it on. There is no external power switch on the base of the unit or on the cord.

SO VERY PLEASED!!!
I am so pleased with my warmer!! If you let your coffee get cold & the cup is full, then you'll have to put the lid on & wait a bit, so I just keep my cup on the warmer & it's perfect no matter what!! Oh, the bottom of the cup has a metal surface, so I'm glad I got the product that comes with the cup!! I haven't tried any other cup on the warmer. If I do place my hot cup on my desk, it does not leave a mark from the heat, but I'm sure my desk is a kind of pressed wood. I may order one for my boss!

Metal disc on bottom of mug gets insanely hot
It works, but the metal plate on the bottom of the mug gets REALLY hot, can burn you. Yes, it's supposed to get hot, that's how it works, but it also means that not only do you have to be careful handling the mug to not get burned, but you have to be careful when you set it down. If I take my mug to a meeting, I have to bring a coaster with me as well. After a couple months of using this every day, I've stopped and went back to a "standard" mug for now.
