The media could not be loaded.  I live on ten acres in east Texas, and at night it is DARK. I also am renovating my house, doing all the work myself. I also have many other tasks around the property to improve it. I also have goats, a donkey, 24 chickens, 4 outside cats and 2 dogs. Having a flashlight is a must. Wether it’s working on a 40 year old tractor, checking on animals late at night or early morning, fixing a water heater in the attic or any other task, having a solid, reliable, easy to handle flashlight is imperative.I’ve owned many flashlights, I’ve bought flashlights worth $300 to $10. I’ve learned you get why you pay for. Buy once, cry once. I will say that if you are buying this flashlight to spot critters 1500 yards away in the dark, keep looking. The only flashlight I’ve found that can do that is an LEP flashlight. But if you need a flashlight for anything else, this is the one!As you can see in the video I posted, it has 5 brightness settings. All of which have their place. When I ran out of propane and had to relight my water heater in a dark attic the lowest setting was perfect. This thing gets so bright that you can’t use the brightest setting for things up close, which is why this flashlight doesn’t need a focus option like many cheap flashlights have. If you need to see further you just crank up the brightness.The magnet is super handy. It’s also dang strong for this hefty flashlight. I really couldn’t think of a better way to test the strength than putting it on a door and slamming the door. As you can see I drive a Dodge Ram, so you know how hard I have to slam that door, flashlight didn’t even move. I also love how I can keep it on my front door. Bam, it’s there whenever you walk outside. And even my 3 teenage daughters have yet to slam the door hard enough to knock it down! And it isn’t for a lack of effort!I haven’t had any issues of it rolling away from me, since it has a belt clip and a magnet I’ve yet to find a scenario where I’d have to put it down on such an incline that it would roll away. This flashlight is just plain great. It’s my go to flash light for any job. My wife loves it, my kids use it and I’m glad I finally found a flashlight for any occasion, and for any job.I highly recommend it to anyone who uses a flashlight for work or recreation. The other cool feature is the charging, simply stick it on the magnetic charger and kapow, it’s charging. You also don’t have to use the mount. The circle magnet base in the mount comes out, see the pictures I posted.I really can’t get enough of this flashlight. It fits in my hand well and you can just feel the American design of it, the thought and craftsmanship of the Elgin company. They hit this one outta the park.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a great looking flashlight that is durable, and has a great look and finish. It has a strong magnet that allows you to stick it on metal surfaces while you're working, or doing other things. This will fit nicely in my bib pockets when I ice fish in the winter, and will provide ample light in the pitch black darkness of the early morning, and late night hours. I don't consider the absence of a zoom function a big deal, it is way bright and lights up a large area. It lights up basically my entire backyard with the same intensity as if I am zoomed into a small spot. I think the zoom on other flash lights is effectively a gimmick anyways. I really like that magnet charger too, it snaps right into place, and the wall mount is a handy. It's a great value for the money, and I see this thing lasting a long time as it is very solid and durable. It's great to have it on the ready sticking with the magnet to a surface in that garage, office, or like a metal door frame where you can just grab it and go.As I fish a lot in the early morning, and sometimes all through the night out on the ice, this will be a great tool for me.

From the moment you open the box, you can tell that every part of this flashlight has been designed to function right and get the job done. The light is plenty bright - I usually use a middle setting for household jobs. It's nice the two buttons allow you to set the flashlight to a brightness that you like and then remain at that brightness each time you turn it on. You don't have to cycle through the brightness levels every time you turn it on.The charging design is the real selling point for me. There is a magnet in the side of the flashlight covered by soft rubberized plastic and another magnet at the base of the flashlight at the charging contacts. These magnets are STRONG. Once you get the flashlight close to the charging mount, it snaps right in to place. You can hang the mount vertically on the wall as a charging station, but the flashlight stays attached to the charging mount so well that you can keep the mount loose if wallspace is at a premium or you are a renter and don't want to attach anything to the wall. The mount profile is small enough to make it portable as well if you want to keep your flashlight charged on the go.

It’s hard to imagine what a flashlight at this price point is like and how it differs from other typical flashlights like a mag light. Well for one thing, this flashlight is unreasonably bright for the size. With multiple brightness settings you can pretty well have the right brightness no matter the need. Then the battery is rechargeable and lasts for hours even at max brightness. There are other nice touches like the magnet on the bottom that allows you to snap it away to any metal surface and also snaps in satisfyingly to the charging port.Overall this is the best flashlight I’ve ever owned and have bought a couple extra as gifts - they’ve loved them as well.

Here’s my two cents:This is a well built flashlight and it is apparent from opening the box that a lot of thought and care was put into the design. I liked the heft in the hand and it feels like quality materials were used and that it can stand up to everyday use. I liked that you can cycle through the various modes if you need to but you don’t have to in order to turn the light on and off. That’s a major grievance with my previous light.I appreciate that the magnet is actually usable. It can hold its own weight and stayed put without sliding even in a vertical position. The magnet is covered with a softer non-marring plastic which is a nice touch.Finally, this has appropriate levels of brightness for its purpose. True, it will not throw a spot beam 300 yards but that’s not why I bought it. This has a good amount of light for dark basements, attics and crawl spaces when servicing HVAC systems and I can add more light when inspecting a long run. The highest levels of brightness aren’t suitable for most hands on tasks, it’s just too bright for close up work. I included a picture of that.Its a great light in my opinion
