Fun But Not For Unsupervised Play
I got this for my 5 month old Australian Shepherd puppy. Like every new toy I have gotten for him, he barked at it for 15 minutes before realizing it was a toy and a fun one at that.Please note that the twist mechanism to connect the top half of the toy (hard plastic half sphere) to the bottom half (hard plastic half sphere with the colored bumper) has no locking mechanism and twists very easily. So within a few minutes my puppy figured out how to open it and get all his kibble out, and then proceeds to try to chew on the top half of the sphere if I don't take it away from him quickly enough.So overall a fun toy and a good way to get working breeds to eat (since some may not be interested in food without having to work a bit for it), but absolutely don't leave your dog alone/unsupervised with this toy. The plastic does not seem tough enough to prevent a determined dog from breaking the plastic into shards and then winding up hurt.
