The old saying ' They don't make them like this anymore ' is so true inthe case of this Father Ted Christmas Special. In fact there wasn't onepoor episode from Ted, Dougal, Father Jack and all that wasn't hilariousand the writing was superb. This IS included in the boxed set - so I actually didn't need to buy it (think I gave it away).If you DON'T own the boxed set, this one is great fun.If you don't know Jack (or Ted) this IS family suitable, as long as you don't mind swearing.Personally I think the age ratings are all wrong, and this could be a PG.Obviously if a few priests getting drunk, swearing and blaspheming offends you or might not be appropriate for your children, look elsewhere.

It seems that in today's entertainment world the humour is often subtle and makes one snigger or just smile at best. The days of the uncontrollable "belly-laughing" appear to be gone, sadly. In "Father Ted" one can regain the pleasure of bursting out with laughter which brings uplift in one's moods and is good for the health! The Christmassy Ted does everything one would expect. I envy those who have yet to have the "Father Ted" experience but for the fan the enjoyment continues even after multi- viewings.

This product arrived fast an in brand new condition.Love this cult classic genius piece of comedy ,recommend to anyone with a sense of humour it is hilarious such a shame ,father ted actor died in real life and no more were made.highly recommend

Part of a good show

BRITISH COMEDY IN MANY OF ONES I HAVE BOUGHT ARE TERIFFIC. THE LAST OF SUMMER WINE IS ONE I HAVE NEARLY ALL OF. FATHER TED I HAVE A COUPLE OF AN D WOULD HAVE THE OTHERS IF I COULD FIGURE OUT WHICH ONES.

Although the item shipped quickly and in perfect condition, it was in Region Code 2-Europe!!Unable to watch :( This is the reason for the two star rating, sorry.Please, as a seller write down somewhere what the region code to the DVD is in your ad.

This short lived show is so amazingly crazy. I really really loved the humor, and every episode grew to love the characters more and more.

Again, no warning that this is a European system DVD that is not compatible on mos North American DVD players. - But unlike the firm from California who reimbursed me totally for their wrong systems DVD's the above Chrismassy Ted wrong DVD was from a firm in Germany.Both they (and Amazon) did not respond to my complaint, and I feel I have been stung and ignored by the "system". - Perhaps Amazon might reconsider who their partner providers should be.
