I think this will be my Go To for quick over-nighters on the motorcycle.
I fell in love with the Cave for basecamp, long nights, or colder/rainy weather situations. So I decided to replace my "one person and gear, over-nighter" tent with a Snugpak as well. Tried the Scorpion 3. Also very nice, but still a little too much packed size and work for quick overnights. I don't like its tent-first assembly, and the solid, full-length pole sleeves are an annoyance, both setting it up and taking it down. Decided to try my luck with the Journey Duo. I think I found The One.The online reviews, unboxings, and setup vids by Snugpak "Ambassadors" and whatnot don't go into much detail, or even really much further than just parroting back the spec list. So maybe my list of Yays and Sniggles will help some others out.Yays• Two partial pole sleeves with pole clips for everything else. The three solid, full-length pole sleeves on the Scorpion 3 can be a pain, and are the biggest reason I didn't want to use it as my go-to over-nighter.• Just big enough inside for me and my gear, and at 87" long, head and feet do not touch (I'm 6') - most tents this size are about 60x80ish and head and/or feet will touch tent wall.• Seems like most tents are majority mesh, now - this tent only has the small, triangle vent on the foot end that cannot be closed. For me, this is a Plus. It will be warmer than mostly-mesh in warm weather, but it will also be warmer in cooler weather.• It has a ridgeline! Hang lights, socks/gloves, etc the length of the tent. I will probably get a hammock style ridgeline organizer for it.• Bonus - there are also 4 more interior grosgrain loops to hang lights or a tent attic.• Fitted ground sheet. And with elastic loops instead of grommets.• Plenty of stake points and guy outs. Included guy lines are reflective!• Rear vent on fly has velcro prop to keep it open - wish the Cave and Scorpion 3 vents had these.• Double zipper on fly door - nice to have fly door closed, but top of door opened for ventilation• Tent-first assembly! Nice to not use the fly if not needed. Scorpion is a pain to hook the tent to the fly every time; only slightly less pain to leave the inner tent connected all the time. I'll never want to use the fly without the tent, but I will want to use the tent without the fly. YMMV.• Comes in a decent dry bag. The horizontal-fill zippered bags that come with the Cave and Scorpion are fairly useless after unpacking the first time.• Stuffable! Nice to have a stuffable tent again - stuff the rain fly, tent, and ground sheet into the dry bag. Reverse when setting up the tent. The Cave and Scorpion need to be folded and rolled to be put back into their bags, or if using different bags, still really too big to be stuffed instead of rolled. Not showstoppers, but definite Sniggles• Inner door mesh is only top 3rd of the door - would have been nice for full mesh double door like Cave/Scorpion.• Internal pockets are not elastic.• Fly door ties, door mesh ties are not elastic• Internal door pocket does not have a tie, elastic or otherwise• Has a ring for hanging a light, but at the "foot" end of the tent. The ridgleline and 4 grosgrain loops make up for this.I got the Journey Duo just two weeks ago and have used it twice. I try and get out for at least a night every weekend. Looking forward to my next weekends with this tent!

VERY WELL BUILT TENT!!
Bought this tent for me and my wife to go back packing in the Michigan upper peninsula. It is a very good quality tent was quick to set up and with having rain two of the three nights it didn’t leak any. My only complaint is that it’s a little small still for two people and gear my wife and I could fit fine but we had to hang our bags from a tree with my poncho over them since didn’t have enough room inside for them but would still recommend it for sure

Leaked on first try
This tent was brands new. 1 night of camping on a rainy night after hiking 20 miles of 3000’ elevation I was exhausted, cold and wet. Woke up after a few hours to a soaked down sleeping bag because the rain shell has a flat spot that filled with water and basically held a puddle over my head which dripped all night. Poor design.

Leaked first night
Tent was set up with rainfly cover. Rained all night. Developed a puddle on top which quickly filled and dripped in tent. I woke up middle of the night to a wet down sleeping bag. Tent was tight and repelled water initially so must be a design flaw. As is gets damp sags enough to start collecting water on the crest and once it starts its over. I had to push upward from the inside and pushed off about 2 gallons of water. Went through both layers.

Great well made tent , but not substantial for 2 people .
I personally liked this tent however I ended up returning it . So why ? Well it’s an awesome well built tent however I bought it for me and my wife as a 2 person tent . It was to cramped for 2 people and our gear in my opinion . If it had been for just me it would have been a great personal tent size . Would have given it 5 stars if it was a bit more roomy as a 2 person tent .

Easy to erect
All good. Waterproof and windproof. Perfect size for one person with luggage. Would be snug for 2. Easy to put up & take down. Highly recommended for biker or walker, as in a neat dry bag and light. Porch is a good size for a small tent.

Quality fit for purpose
Shipped quickly and I set up my tent to check before it's first outing. It is a fabulous piece of camping equipment. Construction is excellent with tough seams quality zips and poles and pegs. Iove the ridge line inside to hand items on and the footprint. Great size vestibule for cooking in a gale and storing gear or just watching the wildlife. When I put my sleep system in it it really is the perfect one man tent size wise. I really could feel the space around me on both sides and above your head. You will get two adults in it but it's going to be cosy which is totally fine for warmth and company but you will be compromised for space however definitely not to point of uncomfortable. I staked it out and I have the sense that this tent low profile design will she'd high wind heavy rain and snow with ease ensuring you feel confident to roll over and sleep through the worst if weather. Great design patterns with snail sherls imprinted across the outer fly.Weiggt is 7 lbs so lashed into you rock at the top makes foecthe perfect four season shelter.
