I've been smitten with lava lamps since I was a kid in the 1970s. The motion of the molten wax in a colored liquid is hypnotic. Most of the color schemes don't appeal to me, but this one, with its red-orange-yellow melange, looks perfect in my red and cream living room. It takes a while for the wax to warm and begin its dance, but when it does, the lamp becomes the focal point of the room. When I'm super stressed from life and work and need to meditate and decompress, I sit in the darkened room and stare at the lamp and listen to binaural beats like the old hippie I'm probably becoming. And it works.

I recently purchased a lava lamp from Amazon, and I’m quite pleased with it. The design is stylish and adds a nice retro touch to my room. The colors are vibrant, and the wax flows beautifully once it warms up.Setting it up was straightforward—just plug it in and let it heat for about 30 minutes. The soothing movement of the wax creates a relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding in the evenings.One minor downside is that it can get a bit hot, so I always make sure to handle it with care. Overall, it’s a fun and nostalgic addition to my décor, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to add some ambiance to their space!

The media could not be loaded. The way they painted the glass to make it look like it fades from green to purple is so thick that you can’t see the lava on the inside when it goes up and down. The coloring is very pretty but defeats the purpose of it being a lava lamp. It makes a good night light if you don’t want to see the lava.

EDIT:I have left my original review at the bottom. I had issues with two different lamps. I was very surprised when the nicest costumer service rep reached out to me by email asking if I’d be willing to try a third lamp. I really had nothing to lose, so I decided to try once more. I’m glad I did! They expedited the shipping and sent me a new lamp at no charge to me. This lamp was brightly lit, which I think was part of the issue with the first two. Neither was illuminated to the top. The light dimmed about mid-way. I left this new lamp in the box overnight. The next day I took it out of the box, and let it sit to room temperature about an hour. I then sat it by a heat vent and covered it for an hour. It took about 90 minutes after that to see lava begin to bubble! The water in this one is also clear, where the first two were cloudy. That could be rough shipping. The third issue, I believe, is that the lava is very light and a bit hard to see against the red and yellow. All in all, this looks really great on my mantle with all my Chiefs decor! I’m glad I was able to get one that worked well. I am thinking of another color for my home office, and because of the great service, I’ll come back to this seller when I’m ready. You can but confidently!!!ORIGINAL:I thought maybe I’d gotten a bad lamp, so I exchanged it for a second one. Neither work properly. The lava doesn’t move even after leaving it on over 24 hours. The lamp itself only lights up half way. I’m guessing the light bulbs are not strong enough to heat it up properly? I will be returning the second one.

Got this lava lamp for my son Likes it!! Great colors, beautiful & amazing.It relaxes him to go to sleep. Lamp is as good as advertised. I will get another of a different color for myself.
