Braun Series 9 9517s PRO+ Electric Razor for Men, 5 Pro Shave Elements & Precision Long Hair ProTrimmer, Charging Stand, Braun’s Best for Smooth Skin, Wet & Dry Electric Razor with 60min Runtime

For years I dismissed beard electric shavers all together because I could not get close shaving, that was the main reason.20 days ago I bough Braun Series 9 PRO+ Electric Razor.Here is my feedback, I hope this helps those who are trying to figure out if they should buy one.I did extensive research before purchasing one, I wanted one that can give me very close shave, be at ease with sensitive skin and not get bumps but also size is a factor for me. Also one that would be reasonable cost $$.After researching and comparing all the different models it came down to two brands that have very good close shave especially under the neck area, that was always my problem reason why I did like not older models and stayed with traditional.I chose Braun Series 9 PRO+ Electric Razor for Men over runner up Panasonic Arch5/9 Series because of the size, I found the Panasonic tends to be a bit bulky. but both brands and models deliver the most close shave over all other brands and models. Again this I am referring to beard shave, other body parts such as head etc.. is a whole different topic.So far I am very happy with Braun Series 9 PRO+ Electric Razor,Model I have is 9567ccProsI used normally shave every other days, in some cases 3-4 days but by then my face starts to each,Now, it is so convenient I can shave any time, on the go, while working etc...I have tried both dry and wet, I found that dry working better, and not messy,Cleaning is very simple, mine came withe the charger cleaning all in-one, I have only used that once to clean, after shaving I normally just do quick clean withe the brush included.Noise is medium, not to loud,Battery seems to be very good, I only charged few times in the last 20 days.Size, I still would want it to be smaller but still smaller than others, others that are known brands, not talking about some cheap/copy.Close shaving, as close as traditional but not quite 100% there yet I will give it 98%... quite happy withe the closeness I am getting.Price - mid pricing, there is aways sale going, so its good to keep an eye and by on sale.ConOther than its a bit pricey I have no complaint with unit.The all in-one charger/cleaner is a bit large, I hope that could be made smaller in future,I hope this helps.

bit pricey but worth the cost. Have been using it for about 6 months now and loving everything minute of it. It shaves comfortably and closely. No skin irritation which has been a problem for me with other electric shavers. This one is a keeper for me. Using it every other day to keep my growth under control. Highly recommend it.

Unbelievable! I've always have a tough beard. Barbers hate me and I usually go days without shaving now that i'm retired. This Braun Series 9 knocks down 5 days' growth quickly and smoothly. I'm on my 4th full-face shave and the battery level has not dropped. No irritation at all and no need to use my Braun detail shaver. The only complaint is the position and sensitivity of the on/off switch. The first shave I cut the shaver off way too many times. After my 4th use i've adjusted how I hold the shaver and managed to hit the on/off button only once. This is by far the best shaver I've ever owned!

**Updated Review after 2 weeks use** I raised my review from 2 stars to 4.The Series 9 pro plus replaced my series 7.CONS: of this shaver when compared to a 9 year old series 7 include the following.1. Took a long time for my face to adjust. Did not shave as close as my series 7 for the first 10 days.2. Very bulky shave shave head makes it very difficult to shave under the nose3. Cleaning station is at least twice as loud as the previous cleaning station and has a bigger counter footprint4. Struggles on some neck nairsPROS: when compared to 9 year old series 7 it replaced.1. Arguably sleeker more modern aesthetics2. Does not pull hairs and shaves quickly3. Still made in Germany4. Asuming the build quality is the same as my previous model, it should last a decade if well maintained5. It does produce a notable closer and a faster shave but it took about 10 days of use to start getting this result. I'm assuming this was my face and technique adjusting to the new razer. Braun does mention this on their website.I initially considered returning it but I'm glad I stuck with it for a couple of weeks first. I would recommend if your unsatisfied with its performance at first, to give your face and technique a couple of weeks to adjust. You'll be well within the Amazon return window either way.

I have been using Braun electric shavers for many years. I purchased the Series 9 Pro four months ago. This is the best in a long line of very good products. It provides a very close shave quietly, comfortably and effectively. In addition the cleaning mechanism has improved also. I don’t usually write reviews about products that I have used for a long time but the Series 9 Pro is exceptional.

This is my second Braun Series 9. The first was confiscated when I accidentally packed it in my checked luggage on an international flight.I really like the close shave it delivers, however the shave quality does deteriorate as the blades wear. The shaver is easy to clean, and charges quickly. Just a warning - if you fly pack it in your carry-on bag, not checked bag.
