Wow, one of my favourite coffees now!
Great coffee! Definitely one of my favourite coffees now, it has amazing amount of crema, a strong flavour and it definitely wakes me up! I love it on its own but also with milk because you will still get a nice coffee flavour! Plus, the beans are stunning with a vivid colour and the great smell of coffee! One of my all the time favourites for sure, what a great find!

Very Disappointed
I love vietanamese coffee I've had a lot and held this back for a treat at Christmas, but very little flavour, underwhelming and no depth of flavour - my wife says weak!.

100% Robusta Bean Dark Roast - An Artisan Coffee with a Distinct Flavour
I ordered this 100% pure Robusta bean coffee for a family member who enjoys an excellent steam filtered coffee from their Italian stovetop coffee maker.This is a generous sized bag at 1kg which should last a while. The use by date is six months from ordering. To me, that didn't seem like a long time. However, I've been told that "all coffee is like that", so I'm assuming that the coffee is at it's optimum whilst it is still fresh.The beans certainly appear to be very fresh. Holding them in my palm I could feel the oils from the roasted beans and they smelled absolutely delicious.The bag has a tightly fitting reseal closure on the back which ensures the contents are kept at their best.The taste we agreed here, is smooth, mellow, there is absolutely no bitterness. I got a hint of fruitiness. The coffee created an excellent crema. The milk hadn't been frothed very much yet it sat like a marshmallow on the top of the cup.Although it was enjoyed, and was perfectly drinkable, it wasn't their favourite. The flavour wasn't deep or strong enough for their taste.I read all the information carefully, and appreciate that this is an artisan product with excellent credentials. I understand that these beans are grown by small scale local farmers and handpicked. The information I wanted however, wasn't there. This coffee lacked any reference to sustainability or ethical agricultural production. I would have liked to have seen some certification, such as from the Rainforest Alliance so that I could be reassured that my purchase wasn't contributing to deforestation. These are the things I look for when choosing which products to buy.Overall, an excellent coffee with a distinct flavour, well packaged and presented, and enjoyable to taste.
