I got this for my neice for her birthday. She absolutely loved it. She could not wait to open them all. All 3x sets are really playful and safe for the children. She loved the variety and was very happy. The packaging is also great, I wrote her name in the space provided which made it personal too.

This is a really clever set of science kits. I'd assumed this sort of set would just involve adding a bit of colour or smell out of a bottle and, while that is part of it, there is a lot more of a science focus in these kits. All instructions are very clear, written in fluent English (one paragraph with minor typos in the lip balm booklet) and delivered with a bit of humour and sound scientific explanations.Kids will gain a fun interactive introduction to chemistry topics like changes in state, emulsions and density in the soapmaking kit, material facts and UV protection in the lip balm kit, and extracting, filtering, and fragrance blending in the perfume kit.The kits each have a moulded plastic workstation and almost everything you need - just make sure you have a microwave for melting and suitable oven gloves and maybe a bit of newspaper to protect your surfaces.I was a little disappointed at the size of the moulds in the soapmaking kit, and despite the large boxes all the kits have a relatively small amount of all the components.Notes on safetyThe soap making kit uses a soap base (melt and pour style soap making rather than a chemical reaction) so is safer for the target audience (8+). I was impressed at the inclusion of ingredients which are actually used in personal care manufacture. This includes mica (shimmer dust) and titanium dioxide (UV protection) in the lip gloss kit which do have safety approval and are in many products we use, however they are ingredients that some people prefer to avoid. If you prefer not to use these you can still enjoy experimenting with flavour, colour and wax in the lipgloss kit.All kits include instructions on patch testing to check for sensitive skin reactions to any of the ingredients.

Very good time had with these which are great fun but also good for learning and development. Bought for an 8 year old who did enjoy it very much

This is such an amazing set. I have 2 very creative, crafty kids. They love to make and craft things. We have gone through many sets for making things like fridge magnets and painting figured to countless science experiment kits. This has been something new something crafty, creative, and something they can use and show off.The first kit we tried is the lip balm making kit. It comes with everything you need included, which is awesome. The guide included gives very easy to follow step by step instructions on the basics, but your kids can get creative with the colour, flavour, and shimmer. My kids loved making everything cherry flavour and shimmery. I have to say I was so impressed with the end result once it was all set in the little make up palette it was indistinguishable from the many kids make up sets I had bought for them it looks that good!A weekend or 2 later, we tried the perfume making set. This set is even more reminiscent of a science project as it teaches how to distil essential oils into perfume. My kids were fascinated learning this skill and continue to use this equipment with other essential oils we have to make a great variety of gorgeous fragrances. Using the set, my kids learnt which scents went well together and how to create individual fragrances to suit them. They took the one they both liked best and put it in the pretty atomiser that was included. They also enjoyed making the scented red jelly crystals. These kept their floral rose scent for a few days.The last set we got to this weekend. I was expecting this to be messy and complicated, but it wasn't. As with the first 2 sets, it has a fantastic clear booklet with easy to follow instructions. It teaches various techniques for solid moulded soap and for a softer whipped soap. There is the opportunity to experiment with colour mixing, too. The finished products look good enough to eat (but please dont do that!)All of these sets teach science skills in a fun and engaging way, and they have sparked more interest in the uses of science in items the kids used every day but never thought too much about. They have a real interest in learning more, and I would be very happy to buy more sets in this range as the quality of these has been fantastic.These sets usually retail at 19.99 each, making this box set super value.

Wonderful little kit, Nicely presented for a gift.All Works really well easy to apply and remove. We each tried a different one and all were pleased with how noticeably smoother our skin felt. Perfume and soap smelt amazing, just fab!This keeps my daughter quiet in her room and plenty of giggles for me when she does DIY and puts it on.
