Nature Mazes (Dover Little Activity Books: Nature)

Great for Stocking Stuffers, Easter Baskets, or Prize Box
My 6 year old isn't much for coloring or any other fine motor activity involving writing/drawing; however, he does love to do a maze. So, to help with this particular fine motor skill I purchase maze books by the dozen. The Dover Little Activity Books are great because I can buy them as a Stocking Stuffer at Christmas, Easter Basket filler at Easter, or as part of an activity kit for long road trips. These usually don't cost more than $3.00, so teachers can put them in a prize box for students. These books are gift that keeps on giving because they help facilitate quiet time at home or to keep patience while at a restaurant or a waiting room. These books are small about the size of a large index card so they easily slip into a pocket or purse. It doesn't take much to finish them. They are challenging enough for a 4 or 5 year old, but they are not super easy or too simple that a 6 or 7 would not find them satisfying. Because they are small, these books will be used up quickly, but for a few moments of peace at a couple bucks a piece, these are worth purchasing.

Pocket sized fun
Perfect little book of mazes that fits in your back pocket to keep ur kid busy for a few minutes while you are on the go. Simple yet fun mazes my 3 year old loves. There’s quite a few in the book, and each one is different. The paper is high quality and on the thicker side. Great little book.

Very Small - Check Dimensions
My kindergartner loves mazes, and has been asking for a new maze book. This book one looked great, BUT I wasn't expecting it to be SO small (I overlooked the details of the product dimensions and only viewed the Look Inside). Because the book is so small and the binding is so tight, it's difficult to get the book to lay flat for my son to do them independently - I have to hold the book open for him, which defeats some of the purpose.

Really Liitle Activity Book
My 4 year old grand daughter discovered the joy of working mazes in a full sized Dover book. I ordered this and a similar one without paying attention to the dimensions. The mazes themselves are well designed, but the small size of the book is really too little to use as easily. This size would be okay to tuck into a handbag for emergency entertainment.

Small, entertaining booklet/great for travel and other waiting times
Excellent value, and can keep young children entertained for a few minutes. Now these books are small--but that's kind of the point of these book, I think. They're portable, easy to throw in a briefcase or purse or back of the car, and handy to give to children at the doctor's office waiting room, or in an airport, or on a car trip, or at a restaurant waiting for food, or really, just anywhere where you want to have a short educational (or semi-educational) activity. And I gotta admit, I like that this is an "un-plugged" option. Not on a phone or tablet or screen--just a good old-fashioned book with simple activities, vivid illustrations, and things to *do*--that is, an active, tactile experience--even if the activities are quite simple (like peeling stickers). We don't leave home without a few of these. (Just be prepared, if you haven't ordered these before, for a small booklet, not a *book* book.)

Handy little books
I have several of these and they are great to occupy my maze-mad child. They're very small so they tuck easily into a bag.

Compact and basic, but decent mazes
Good for my daughter, who is nearly 6. This is a very small book and not very glitzy - it's like newspaper print (thin paper) and black and white. But the mazes are relatively challenging, so it's good for our purposes. She definitely prefers the Kumon books because they are bigger and more colourful. This would be good for a car trip.
