Not good in hot climates
It has a very strong magnet which holds phone in place. 3 stars because the black piece that was glued onto the magnet came of after two weeks. Guess the heat melted the glue. So now it's on the silver part which does not allow for it to grip very well to the magnet. So phone is balanced by the dash while on the magnet without that backing that fell off its slips. I guess the sun made the piece that hooks it to the dash expand so now IT is falling off. :-(

I am using this to mount my phone on the aircraft dash while flying. I run Garmin Pilot from my phone as well as a fuel timer app, and it allows me to keep my eyes up rather than using a knee-board type configuration. I wish it was a little more adjustable for the dash, however for the money its been great.

NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!
I should have paid attention to the reviews. This SUCKED. After just one day this thing lost the ability to hold on to my dashboard as it's intended and slid off along with my phone. A week later, the sticky pad was sliding off due to standard heat in the car. It was a waste of my money. Yeah, sure it was inexpensive but come on... it should have at least lasted longer than a day.

More than the product is the seller
Order the car mount and the month of using it, the protector of the magnets fell, the same happened with the disk that sticks on the phone, some problem with the glue. I wrote to the seller and sent images. They sent me a new one. It's been 3 months since I got the new one and I have not had any problems. I'm happy with the product and the seller.

Phone doesn't stay on the magnet.
I like the design of this product, but when I tried to use it, my phone fell off. The magnet seems strong, but it doesn't work for me. I think it may be due to the case on my phone. I have an Otter case. It's pretty thick and may be blocking the magnet. I put two metal plates inside the case, but it still doesn't stick.

Not bad especially considering the price
Not bad especially considering the price. It won't fit all cars you do need some overhang on your dashboard. Also, it does not hold the phone super tight. If you bump it with some force the phone will pop out. Its very simple and works, though.
