PreSonus Eris Sub 8BT Powered Bluetooth Subwoofer, 8-Inch, Black

Firstly, PreSonus have nailed it in my opinion - as a casual user of listening to music and making music for fun, I find this perfect - like way more than what I need. The build quality of the PreSonus 8BT Subwoofer is very nice, made out of this robust like metal, and it has this grill on the front incase if it’s on the floor, that you do not accidentally drive your foot in or you drop something and it falls on it, the grill should prevent that. The setup was fairly straightforward, I used a Focusrite Scarlet Series Interface for this one. I hooked up the Input of the 8BT Into my Interface, and then the Output 8BT to the Input of my Eris 3.5 speakers. They provide you with this plug for this speaker too. The volume is really good, the bass is heavy and the controls are amazing - you can control polar pattern, high pass filter and gain. It also has bluetooth, however it does hiss a bit though when using BT mode. The fit of the speaker is nice, because it is on the smaller side of subwoofers and you can easily put it in a small corner because this product is fairly small. Good product and keep it up PreSonus (it is my first day of owning)

If you produce any thing with any sort of base, it doesn't matter how good your monitors are, you need a sub. I have giod monitors and great headphones, but my mixes came out muddy as hell anywhere I played the music that wasn't a decent set up. Adding a sub to my set up has let me mix in those lows soooo much better and it's made playing it on sub standard speakers sound so much better too. So it made the mixes sound better on a good setup but also made it sound better on a crap set up and got rid of a lot of muddyness. Having a sub truly is imperative to producing/mastering your own mixes. Looks great, functions as you would expect, plenty of drive, connects through Bluetooth (though I have it set up connected to my monitors through cable) size is as stated so nothing to worry about if you have a specific area you want to place it. Not remote controlled but honestly who needs that when you have the controls on the PC right Infront of you. The Bluetooth is pretty useless I feel unless your whole system is set up on bluetooth, as you need to either have Bluetooth or your audio interface playing, you can't have them both on at once unless you can find a work around.

Excellent features and fantastic performance. This sub make a great accompaniment to my PC speakers which while good, needed a little help on the low end from a sub. What's great about this sub, is the stereo in and stereo out function. Keeps my PC setup sounding great and cuts down on too much equipment. I'm currently using Bluetooth function, as it still sounds great and still allows use of the stereo out RCA ports to pass the signal on to my active speakers. Tip for PC users with active speakers: Use a separate USB volume control knob at the PC end as master volume control (search amazon). Set your active speakers to half volume and set the gain (sub volume) to produce the correct amount of bass at that half volume. Set high pass filter to ON, then set crossover at 80Hz. (This is a good starting point)

Nice little sub, solid connectivity options on the back and performs well for the price. Paired it with my AudioEngine A2+ and it fills in the void at the low end nicely, gives it a good bit of kick where it was missing before. Quite compact, so fits nicely under my desk. One thing to note for anyone buying, mine arrived with the voltage slider set to 115V! (Despite being a UK SKU and coming with a UK cable). Thankfully it is properly fused and comes with a spare you can throw in to get going again, but don't be an idiot like me and just plug it in and go, it will pop and cause needless panic...

Great for the money

I bought this for my home Spin cycle studio on a whim and it's really pulled the room together! The build quality is superb, and oh my God that bass - it absolutely kicks. I've had to turn most of the knobs down to one to avoid blowing out my windows. Absolutely outrageous how much bass this thing can generate and keep it so tightly controller. I doubt you'll get more joy for £155 anywhere else.

Its all about the BASS and boy this has some bass ..... Makes my windows bounce .... Love it ... Paired with 2 x 5" KRK Classic monitor speakers

I'm very imporessed with this purchase, I set it up with unblanced cables the only problem I have with them (if its really a problem) it I cant set it to the recommended settiongs because its so powerful I do find i have to make adjustmens for diffeerent types of music, or when watching films but that happens with any set up because of recording levels. it works well with my monitor speakers one just has to calibreate them, i really glad I chose this over the others i saw.

I do music production using the Adam A3x which lacked in the bass department. This helped it negate the disadvantage and helped to give a more uniform bass sound. It’s cheap for the performance you get out of it. I have a small Room so this 8inch is enough else it be bass will echo or linger longer. Pretty good and useful. Makes listening to music more fun.

You can adjust the highest frequency it picks up but above somewhere around 70 Hz it's starts to sound boomy/boxy with an unpleasant resonance. I wanted it to cut in at 100hz to overlap with my Edifier bookshelf speakers but it's very unpleasant like that and I had to cut it down to 60hz to get rid of the boom, which barely overlaps, if at all, with my other speakers. There's cross-wiring somewhere in my system because I had to use the switch to reverse the polarity to be in phase with my other speakers, so that is a nice feature for me.

Perfect match with my Eris E.45 HD 2-Way 4.5" Nearfield Monitor and PresonUS Audiobox Go. Rocks my room, awesome sound!
