on impulse, I bought a couple of Boska cheese knives at a local upscale market, and was really impressed with how well they fulfilled their intended purpose - to slice cheese effectively. The sharpness of the blade, and the external non-stick texture of the knife, made slicing cheese of any variety a perfect experience. I don't know a lot about cheese, but I do know something about knives, and these are superbly engineered for their intended purpose.I was so impressed with the knives that I bought a set as a gift for some friends. These were not your ordinary over-the-fence friends; they're from the Netherlands, and really love their cheese. They'd never heard of this brand, but after using the knives for a little while they can't stop raving about how perfectly the knives slice the cheese without sticking or crushing, are easy to clean, and keep their edge.(Note: I found the knives to be not super sharp, but just about right to slice through packaging and labels without being too fragile as to require frequent sharpening. Also, the 100% stainless knife just drops into the dishwasher for cleaning, which appeals hugely to my fundamentally lazy nature.)After a year, I still love my original purchase, and my sophisticated friends couldn't be happier with these knives - A+++!

The Boska slices cheese like a dream.I bought it mostly because sliced mozzarella is not always easy to find. As a welcome latent function, it's saving us money on buying blocks of cheese instead of sliced (it will pay for itself over a few months.) It's fun to use; I find myself snacking on a small slice (or six) while doing our cheeseburger prep work for dinner. In addition to function, it is a handsome looking device.The slices it makes are obviously not as wide as machine sliced (the Boska is simply not that wide.) Two slices of this one will be needed for sandwich or burger width, in average.

This cheese slicer is comfortable to hold and the connection between the handle and the head is surprisingly quite strong despite it looking thin - it flexes a tiny bit but springs right back. The blade is sharp and the slicer cuts smoothly, and I appreciate the 10 year warranty that comes with it, though I doubt I'll need it since it hasn't had any issues with rusting or tarnishing. The diamond pattern does seem adequately effective in preventing the cheese from sticking to the head. I do think paying nearly 30 dollars is a bit expensive for a cheese slicer, but this is probably one of the best ones you can buy.

Great Product! Balanced weight

I make a lot of smoked cheese--18 pounds at a time, several times a year. I cut 1-pound blocks of cheese into 1-ounce pieces. I tried a couple of wire slicers, & if the wire didn't break, it got slack in it to the point where it was useless. This knife is so simple, it's genius! I just wipe it down beforehand with a little olive oil to help keep the cheese from sticking. Repeat as necessary. It's not so sharp that I have to worry about cutting myself, & it does a brilliant job on cheese!

The item was excellent!My cousin from Holland brought me a yummy cheese but I did not have a good cheese slicer until I bought this Boska cheese slicer that she also has and uses in Holland.It was the best cheese slicer I ever have.This Boska cheese slicer is easy to use, light weight but easy to manage, cut thin slices easily, dishwasher safe and the quality is THE BEST!I can recommend this Boska Cheese slicer 100-200%!
