A wise purchase for me that I would recommend to anyone.
I love this radio..!I bought this radio as the majority of my cordless tools are Makita and this runs off of the same batteries, so it’s far more convenient as no need to have a 240v power source.A 4Amph battery will last about 2 days, but there is a mains connection too if you just want to plug it straight into the wall.It is DAB and regular FM/MW so the reception is good whatever you’re listening too.The radio also has an AUX port, so you can plug an external source like an iPod or phone straight into it.The sound quality is excellent and the unit is very rugged and sturdy. The display on the front does give you options, especially when on DAB with choices of station or each song that is playing. All in all a wise purchase for me and I would recommend to anyone looking for a radio that will last. This version is not a charger.

Quality radio made to last
Great work radio, sound quality is good and lasts all day on a fully charged battery. I’ve seen a few reviews saying the Ariel was missing, mine was taped in the flap of the cardboard box so check there before recycling day! Really quick delivery from the seller too which was ideal.

Excellent Value for Money
Great value for money. Used mostly on a building site, but is also used in the workshop. Excellent DAB quality. Sturdy. Great that it comes with an AC adapter which comes in handy when the Makita battery runs flat. Shame is doesn't come with a battery though - I keep stealing my husbands one off his drill!! :)

Great radio, robust, simple to tune, great sound.
Big, robust radio, perfect for working outdoors, decorating etc. Tuning was easy, sound is ideal, a good bass sound. The white version was much cheaper than normal Makita colour and looks great. Battery change is easy, lasts for ages.

Pop Master, batteries and company.
Smart compact and great for keeping a lone handyman company with a wide variety of programmes. Good to be able to play music from an external source through the aux ports. The sound is a bit “bassy” but it doesn’t detract from overall performance. I use 3, 4 and 5 amp/hour batteries and they play for a long time, as the mains port looks like it may not stand up to rugged workmanlike behaviour. A great radio giving hours of chat, music, comedy and Pop Master.

Great product and service
Just received this from N & B Tools, having only ordered yesterday!! Great sound and feels very sturdy. Easy set up and tuning - I thought the aerial was missing but it's packaged in the fold down part of the box that the radio came in. Really happy with the radio and prompt service, thank you....

The Perfect Jobsite Radio
Lots of channels I love the DAB as well as the heavy base of the radio, i also like how robust and water resistant it is, i have used it for hours in the rain and snow and it works fine The volume is good, The audio is great on battry but tends to be a little dodgy when pluged into the wall, but i rarely do that so it doesnt matter to me.
