TrudeauLaguiole Red Stablewood Waiter's Corkscrew

I have been looking for a corkscrew that has a certain old, classic look and this one looks so elegant and regal that it is well priced. I have travelled around the world and I haven't found many corkscrews that look like this. Very solid and does the job well.

I bought this lovely corkscrew as a 2024 Christmas gift. To my dismay, it’s a terrible product, but was too late to return within the 30-day window, so I kept it. Because I love the Laguilole company, I kept trying this corkscrew every once-in-awhile, hoping it would have improved miraculously in the box, or that perhaps my technique had adapted. Granted, this is one of their least-expensive offerings at approximately $25, but my $6 Pulltaps corkscrew is far superior. A shame this company produces such poor quality products despite its fine reputation.

I bought several of these as a comment I've gift. Boy was I surprised at how beautiful they were- way beyond what I expected. This is an excellent idea for your wine snob friends. The quality is amazing and the packaging is also first class. I v don't know how they can make them so beautiful for this price. It comes with a nice leather box for storage or for wearing on your belt. Its so pretty I am almost afraid to use it; although its can excellent wine opener as well.

Solidly made, feels good in your hand …a quality tool.

I bought this corkscrew thinking in a Laguiole made in France. This is manufactured in China, but nevertheless, it is well finished and works fine.

It looks beautiful but you get what you pay for. The leather pouch tends to ripe after a while because of the magnet. It’s sturdy but the small emblem on the key fell off after 2 uses. My purchase again was mainly for the pouch. I really like it and it fits under my suit at work. I just keep the key at home for whatever.. recommendation is to use the Lucy and put a actual good double hinge key in it.

Beautiful opener and used with pleasure for 18 months. Then the wood panels came off (they are glued down not screwed) and finally, after loosening and loosening, the screw just cracked right off. If you open a bottle every month or 2, this one is great. If you use it regularly, it's cheaply made and not for the ages...
