It will show amps when you hook something up to it. I use this on a slot car track. When a car is running it will show how many amps the car is drawing from the power supply. Hope that helps.

Q: can this power supply be used on European 220v?

The power supply is a 110v input and would require a step down transformer for it to work with 220v outlet, unless they offer another that is specific for the 220v market.
