Great taste and a great gift!!
The media could not be loaded. First off let me say I live in a coffee culture. Here in the DR we don’t mess around. We grow it, we roast it, and we drink it.Ordering was easy and my solo pack of coffee arrived quickly. Not wanting to experience this little bit of luxury by myself I we t to my Argentinian friends house who has a grinder and a moka pot or greka as they’re called here.First off: packaging is simple but elegant. But definitely lets you know you’ve ordered something special.2. Beans were sealed in a vacuum sealed envelope and when it opened the smell of the beans filled the room with a wonderful aroma.3. You could see the beans were glistening with the oils that make for good flavor and smelled great out of the package.4. Ground nicely and packed down well in the greka.5. As it brewed, the rich strong aroma was making us all excited to try it. We were sure not to leave it on the stove for too long because we didn’t want to burn it.6. Poured into porcelain cups we all decided to try it black without anything in it to start and what really came across to me was a) the smoothness. Not bitter at all.And b) the fruity taste and smell from the coffee. The taste is amazing. And as someone who usually pounds a ton of milk into his coffee I can tell you I would have no problem drinking this black.6. Decide to try the last 1/3 of a cup with milk and it was amazing. All the flavor held through the creaminess of the now “cafe con leche”Overall a fantastic coffee experiment and would make a great gift for someone who loves the ritual of making coffee. The steps involved and of course the novelty of the process. Is it expensive ? Yes. But sometimes it’s ok to let yourself enjoy something special it treats someone to that experience.

Actually worth it
I and my fiancee as coffee lovers, decided to make our anniversary special by ordering this coffee, which we had actually seen being sold more expensively on another well known upscale website. We have tasted lots of different boutique coffee before, but were blown away by this coffee, which had a beautiful taste which we have had a hard job pinning down. There was a sweetness to it which we have not encountered before, which was quite refined. We were quite upset to have finished our drinks, considering ordering more....but it is for special occasions, so we will wait for that. Highly recommended.

smells and taste like Elephant poop
smell and taste like Elephant poop.I made two cup of coffee and my husband couldn’t drink. He said smell like Elephant. I agree with him, but finished my cup, couldn’t throw away 75$ and also need to finish my husband’s cup. I made for him immediately Nespresso and he enjoyed. Nothing special about this coffee, but at list we had experience with it. We know what is most exclusive coffee in the world.

delights the palate!
After seeing this coffee on the morning show my wife and had to try it..being coffee lovers we were also intrigued by the story behind this coffee. We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible aroma when ground we noticed notes of chocolate, dried fruit (date I believe ) and how the aftertaste was sweet and completely lacking in bitterness. I do strongly recommend this coffee. It may seem a bit pricey but for the occasional indulgence it is very worth it. This coffee also makes perfect gift for the coffee lover in your life who has everything.

Distinctive taste & rarity make Black Ivory Clear choice over Kopi Luwak
I am passionate about coffee, and first tried Kopi Luwak. I was disappointed because it was not at all distinctive. I learned of Black Ivory, and was intrigued by the process and the rarity. After tasting Black Ivory, I was delighted at its distinctive taste and lack of bitterness. Aside from the distinctive taste, Black Ivory is superior to Kopi Luwak in taste, rarity and ethics. I bought the triple pack so I could keep one for my spouse and myself and share the other two with friends.

Amazing Brew!
I wasn't sure if I was going to like this, but...it was my birthday and I felt like splurging on something I wanted to try for years. I wasn't disappointed at all. The packaging was very nicely done; it felt like I was opening a present. The smell was amazing with some hints of chocolate. Once brewed it had a nice bloom or frothy layer, that is present in fresh, long roasted coffees that, according to some, increase the potency of the roast and the flavor was proof of that. The bag was small, and only contained enough to make a few small demitasse cups full to share with my friends, but I am still glad I made this purchase and would do so again the next time I want to celebrate something special.

A Crap ton of money for one toilet square of coffee. Also, you can't return it! Enjoy!
Crazy misleading as it says 36 pounds are consumed to make 1 pound of coffee. Yet you don't get 1 lbs. of coffee, no you get a fraction of a pound. That's my only complaint with this product, it doesn't really tell you how much your getting unless you magnify the picture of the product and who does that? You depend on the product description to tell you what you are getting not interesting facts. The product description tells you about the product except the last line where it tells you an interesting fact about the manufacturing process. Kind of an odd place to mix in interesting facts. Nice and misleading!
