Great value TV
I have to say I'm impressed with this TV. I had set my expectations low for the price and the no-name brand, but I'm glad I purchased it.I ordered the TV on a Wednesday and it arrived Friday via UPS. The box was undamaged and the TV was on perfect shape. It's quite light and i was able to carry it upstairs without any help. The unboxing is easy and straight forward. The only issue I had were the feet of the TV were labeled incorrectly--the left was labeled right, and same for the other foot. The installation is easy and a screw driver is included in the packaging.Set up was a breeze. The inputs are clearly labeled and the instructions are clearly written. The picture is great straight out of the box. I can't comment on the speakers because I hooked mine up to a sound system.I would easily buy this TV again if I needed one.

Great picture
Originally ordered this from Walmart for the same price and it came damaged. I returned it and decided to give Amazon a try. They delivered it within a couple days and it was free from damage. Hooked it up right away and fell in love. Great picture and sounds good. I bought it for my boyfriend to use for video games so he's not asking me to use mine. I would recommend this purchase to anyone who needs an affordable, nice TV. Hoping it lasts awhile, but did by an extended warranty if Sceptre fails me.

This TV is well worth the price of $225 and a little more.👍.
My Sceptre 50" Class FHD (1080P) LED TV (X505BV-FSR) I purchased was at an amazing price. This TV has a nice weight to it may require two people to help bring it in and set it up for me it did. Very pleased with the size of the television as well as the picture and the easy programming of the 50" Sceptre the user guide is very easy to follow along with great pictures to guide you through this set up process. What was surprising is that you have so many options of audio video equipment like the USB Flash Drive, Headphone, and Computer that can be connected to this Television and more.

My First Impressions, I received this TV 2 days ago
$200 for a 50" TV is an amazing deal. Is it "Too Good to be True?" NO! The TV was easy to set up. I did not need to adjust the factory pre-sets. I attached it to a table top stand and hooked it into my Polk Audio/Yamaha Aventage 2060 5.1 surround system. This set replaces a 32" Sceptre set that just died after 4.5 years. The picture quality is much better than my previous 32" Sceptre. I'm very pleased with the detail, the clarity, the brightness, and contrast, etc. My new TV is a pleasure to watch.I have some friends that each own very premium widescreen TVs that cost into the thousands of dollars. Their TVs are simply spectacular. This Sceptre is not a premium, high end TV set. In the Land of "Good, Better, Best," the Sceptre is a GOOD budget TV. I did consider spending twice as much at the Best Buy Labor Day sale on a $400, series 5 TCL 55" set. That was a better TV. But good is actually GOOD! My new TV provides a good viewing experience. One can always find better than good and even go broke spending 3K to 10K or more on what is best. I'm happy with my purchase and can now allocate $200 more towards a HSU Research VTF-2 MK5 subwoofer (HSU is an Internet Direct company). Two areas of reviewer complaints I noticed were DOA TVs that often had cracked screens and reviewers not being happy with the built in speakers. Sometimes the stuff we order online gets the HE!! beat out of it by the delivery company. I was very happy and somewhat relieved that the set arrived OK. I'm hoping it will last at least 3-5 years. Some Reviewers also complained about the TV's sound quality. I have never heard any mass market consumer electronics TV over the last 50 plus years that came equipped Hi Fidelity speakers! LOL. This is especially true for inexpensive flat screen TVs. Over the last 25 to 30 years, TV/Movie audio has become a much more important aspect of watching TV than in the past. If you do not like the sound quality of your TV, please go buy a decent soundbar! Sceptre even makes budget soundbars. You very well may end up spending $80 to $500 to fix the audio problem. Watching movies on my old 32" Sceptre with its onboard speakers was torture! I could not hear significant amounts of dialogue. So, I hooked up a budget Shrewood receiver and 2 budget bookshelf speakers to it and that problem was solved.

I think it sounds good
TV came today. No bumps or bruises box was in perfect shape tv looks and works perfect. I think the feet are labeled wrong. If your looking at the TV the Right foot goes on the left and the left goes on the right but if you were the TV then it’s correct. It was kinda strange but they only fit the guide holes one way so it didn’t take long to figure it out. The sound is fine to me not sure what everyone is complaining about. It sounds better than my 65”. I would say this TV is equal to the 50” LED LG I had that went out after 5 years. I paid $450 for the LG though so this is a steal. I hope it lasts 5 years as well.

Broken
So i Bought 4 of these TVs for our church to build a 2X2 tv wall the beginning of Sept. We live in New Bern, NC and 2 of these 4 were delivered right before the hurricane and flooding. The other 2 were delayed from the weather. I had opened the 2 I recieved before the storm but have not had a chance to check the other 2 until today. (A tv wall goes on the backburner when you town is devestated from flooding). Well just started building the wall and opened/plugged in these 2 and one is smashed... the other has no sceen. The power light comes on but no screen just black. Now I am past my return window and will need to purchase 2 more TVs at a higher price now and hope they are not broke as well! Please let me no if there is anything that can be done to help us out??!!
