These beads are sold in 5g packs and just need to be soaked in water for 6-8 hours, causing them to expand by over 100 times their original size. Each pack creates approx 1 pint of expanded jelly beads. They can then be used as a substitute for water in vases with flowers or even as a wedding centrepiece. The beads will begin to shrink as water evaporates but by simply adding water to the beads and soaking for a further 6 hours, they will expand back to their maximum size.
