Stunning little book
This lovely book connects a child with their naturally wild spirit. My daughter requested it for her 13th birthday because it was a book. She had loved in reception and year one and two. She saw it on Amazon and sent me a message saying how much it meant to her. What better review is that!

I'm in love 😍
I absolutely adore this book!I bought this as soon as I realised this contains the beautiful poem (or what I'd always thought of as a poem) about all the children being in zoos. A metaphor about how we take children, with a wonderful imagination and a free spirit and make them conform.I'd bought it for my beautifully wild daughter who will.not conform for anyone!Despite that, I fell in love instantly and cried as soon as I saw it. My daughter loves it too but I will definitely have to buy a second copy so we can have one each. The illustrations in the book are absolutely stunning. The only downside for me is that, like all good stories, it had to end too soon.

Most enchanting fantasy story
Beautifully illustrated and most enchanting story. My grandson came home from school and told me about the story. He could not understand that his grandma did not know this story and so she got the book. Now we share it together and wish we were a little mushroom to hide underneath and watch all the wild child’s friends.

Charming
Reminded me ofThe Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse: Charlie Mackesy ...And some nice pages with sparse text that are nice as posters on wall, or desktop/screensaver images

This book is beautifully produced
The art work by Lorna Freytag in this book is exceptional ,full of imagination . The story is really told by the art work lots and lots to see for a child. I would recommend this to everyone. The story is a good one between the illustrator and the author a good book for bed time or any time. well done. I will be looking out for the next book by Lorna Freytag.

Such a good book for our young wild children
Our 6 year old is a bit of a 'Wild Child' and she loves this book, it is almost as if it describes her. Whilst I love the words I would have preferred the illustrations to be drawn rather than photos of a girl - my daughter is however very happy with how it is illustrated. My daughter learnt a section of the wording for a poetry day they were doing at school and it went down very well with both the teachers and other children, we can all relate.

Loved by my 'Wild Child'
A lovely story about the last 'wild child'. Loved by my eldest (4) who identifies with the story quite strongly. I found the pictures quite unusual, photographs with a picture of the child superimposed over the top but once you get used to them they are actually quite nice. I would recommend it for all free spirited children (but particularly girls)

Great story!!
I enjoy reading this story to my children. I feel like it's the essence of childhood and my kids resonate with it. It is one of my favourite books to read aloud. The size and quality are great. I only wish it came in hard back.

This little book is big on the inside.
To read this book is to be instantly transported back to the essence of your inner child. Remember the freedom of being wild and unfettered, if only for a little while. The enchanting perspectives of the illustrations are a feast for the imagination and the words, a celebration of the spirit.
