Xprite 36 LED Emergency Strobe Lights Mini Bar 16 Flashing Modes Warning Beacon Light w/Magnetic Base for Law Enforcement Hazard Vehicles, Trucks, Snow Plow, Construction Cars (Amber/Yellow)

I had been using one of those 5" round, orange, strobe lights for mail delivery. It flashed but was hard to see in daylight or at all from a distance. This new light is much closer to what the County vehicles look like. VISIBLE. Which is the point. This is really easy to see in the daylight. Compared to my old light, it's quite a dramatic improvement. If you want something brighter or higher quality, you're going to have to spend 3-5x as much. For the $50 spent here, this thing is simply fantastic. As it is, the build quality seems decent, it doesn't feel cheap and it doesn't look like it has any leak spots to be concerned with.The magnets have a rubber boot over them to protect paint. They are quite strong. I do not believe the 40MPH limit to be accurate. Do not let that sway you. The magnets are strong enough that this thing is pretty hard to remove by hand. I would be shocked if a freeway speed of 60-70MPH airflow pulled this thing loose. My mail route never exceeds 50MPH so I cannot be certain.The 17 light selections allow for some interesting and much more noticeable flash patterns. I like that they have a full "on" without flashing should you just want it to throw some solid light. I chose white and amber to give an alternating light flash for maximum visibility. I feel much better having this as opposed to my old "placebo" light.The cord is kind of short (for me). My old light was 1-2' longer and allowed me to run the cord easier and more freedom of light placement. (through back window of a '99 Jeep Cherokee) Not a deal breaker. This thing is so bright that anywhere on the roof will do. May also add an extension but that would move switch.The plug switch has a light to indicate operation and another switch for strobe mode.I can't speak to longevity, but their range of products seems well regarded so we'll see. I'll update if it's a problem.If they added a bit of cord, this would be the perfect $50 light. As it is, I can't imagine you can do much better for your choice of colors. This is a great, cheap light. Buy it.EDIT AND NOTE TO MANUFACTURER: I had to return this [white/amber] and buy [amber/amber] instead since apparently white flashing is for emergency vehicles only and is illegal in WA State. ....All yellow is still quite bright and hard to miss.

What this light ISN'T:It is NOT a primary warning device for regular use.-I have been working in emergency services for 15 years and have a lot of exposure to the cutting edge LED technology that is used on emergency vehicles. If you are expecting this light to match any LED tech or brightness you see on police cars, ambulances, or fire apparatus, you will be disappointed. This light is noticeable but not attention getting in the way a primary warning device needs to be. The magnets are said to hold only to 45 mph. I believe that to be true. So again, don't purchase this with the intent of using it on a street vehicle for regular use.What his light IS:This light is an extremely affordable, compact, lightweight device that does provide surprisingly bright lighting for emergency use considering the cost. This light isn't dim by any measure, it just isn't bright enough for daytime use on a regular basis. I bought this light simply for breakdowns on the road since we travel a great deal. I wanted something I could easily tuck away when not in use. This perfectly fits the bill.The LEDs are noticeable in sunlight but will not lock your attention like higher quality lights. In cloudy or dark conditions the intensity is more than sufficient for providing warning to other motorists and that's where this light excels.The build quality is good for it's intended purpose. The flash patterns are excellent and random enough to break a predictable pattern which serves to catch more motorist's eyes. The cable is long and flat. It holds your last selected pattern in memory. The contrasting white and amber work well together.All in all, this light earns a solid 4 stars considering value and purpose. It's plenty bright for occasional emergency use but it's not a primary device for towing, plowing, or road construction. If you're good with that, then this tiny light packs a ton of value for the money!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  After about a year of use of this I can safely say this was a excellent purchase, using it on a car for security purposes (See video) and it is Awesome. it is very bright, sturdy, and has Strong magnets, Very water Tight. I have yet to acquire a water leak in it. Drove up to 70 MPH with it on and did not budge. i love the Easy Switch on/off Buttons. i will say though that the Actual Cigarette Connector internal connection does have its weak point, the wires broke inside just by tugging a little on the cord. but this was an easy fix for me as i simply Re soldered the Wires inside the plug and made it 5x Stronger by Heat shrinking the connections. After Reading multiple Reviews i see that i am not the only one that had that type of problem it is common but that's Chinese workers for ya. All in All. i would definitely Buy this again.

Xprite White & Amber Yellow 36 LED 18 Watts Hign Intensity Light. This is a very bright lights for the money spent. The light went on with ease and plugged into a 12-volt Outlet without the problem. The bottom of the light bar has nice rubber feet surrounded by many magnets that won't scratch the top of your vehicle . The light bar seems small when it came in the mail but it appears good things come in small packages. In bright daylight, Lil Wyte was decently bright and visible. The wire is about 7 feet long and reaches well with into the cab of my Chrysler van, however if you a longer wire you will have to buy an extension. Judging from the on and off switch I seriously doubt if you cut the wire the light may not work properly.For a Chinese-made light, the build quality compared to other lights I have bought is better. The wire is a good quality and insulated well the 12-volt plug has a nice switch on it that is simple to use and the light bar has plenty of magnets on the bottom of it which will keep it from flying off the top of a vehicle.If you're looking for an inexpensive light bar that is bright during the day this is the light for you​.
