I ordered these because I have just got to know an elderly widower who lives alone. He came to lunch with other friends and really enjoyed raspberry trifle. These containers are ideal for a single portion of trifle, pasta, shepherd's pie and come with a lid so that if the recipient doesn't want to eat immediately, they can be popped in the freezer. They are inexpensive enough that if they don't get returned, it doesn't matter. They even act as a 'doggy bag' if you want to send someone home with that last piece of cake.My elderly friend's eyes now light up when one of these containers is coming in his direction!

Just what I needed, good strong on great value.

These containers are of very poor quality, especially the lids because when I received them, the majority of the lids as you can see in the photos above are cracked or chipped in corners. I wanted to give it a star and a half because the containers themselves feel quite strong and durable but the lids, well they are very weak which is a shame because they are just right for a single portion of food and are microwave-safe.
