I definitely recommend to everyone this watch as well as the seller in Japan I bought it from (Moon-Dog).First of all to the seller: very good communication before and during delivering (to Germany in my case), very careful packaged, no scratches at all.The watch has been remarkably accurate out of the box already.The Seiko 5 SNX series is for sure the self winding automatic watch with the best price-performance ratio on the international watch market. I think even with the additional costs of delivering and import fees it's still worth it.Although the bracelet is folded and not of the highest quality it fits the watch well and is looking nicely also. I personally like the contrast between the brushed bracelet and the polished watchcase.If you are not happy with it you can combine it also very good with a leather watch band.It' s a classical watch with a sporty-elegant appearance and it has a long tradition within the house of its manufacturer.Today Seiko 5's and their built in in-house movements (which are very sophisticated and long lasting by the way) have reached nearly cult status.The dial reminds me a bit of the Rolex Explorer, Date Just or Oyster Perpetual.The blue SNXS 77 as well as the dark grey/Rhodium-like SNXS 79 has a beautiful sun-brushed dial which is finely crafted and comes with applied indices. The Lumi Brite works pretty good and looks beautiful too.I personally do not recommend buying the cheaper versions manufactured in Malaysia.Finishing and quality control is not the same.

This item worked for about 3 weeks and then stop prematurely and finally it would go on for about an hour or two after winding and then stop. Can I have it replaced or credit it to another purchase? It's disheartening that it's brand new and doesn't work.

Good to see self Winding watches again so you'll becer have to worry about Battery Replacement. Looks good & works accurately too

Received my watch today and it meets and exceeds expectations. This one is very similar to one I bought in 1987 (Seiko 6309-8239). It is actually 10 grams heavier than my old watch and both are Japanese made. The quality is still there!The only issue I have is not with Seiko, but with how Amazon sent by means of a flimsy, padded envelope. Good thing this Seiko is a well made watch 😎.

I just received this Seiko today. Very minimalist model which is exactly what I was looking for.I did replace the bracelet (don't like them) with a nice ,black silicone strap and the watch looks fabulous.I know some buyers had issue with the fact that the day wheel is in both English and Arabic. This MIJ model was made for the middle eastern market.Update: This watch keeps such accurate time. Why it is frequently returned (according Amazon) in beyond me. Maybe customers don't like the fact that the day wheel is both English and Arabic?An incredible NOS find in MIO.

The watch is visually striking and the deep blue dial has a beautiful shimmer.We bought the import version of this watch and it does have "made in Japan" engraved on it. The construction and detail are of high precision. The day setting can be set to Arabic or English.Although it is a man's watch, it was a pretty small for my wrist, the case being 38mm in diameter. So I gave it to my wife. It looks like a large ladies watch on her hands (she is quite tall). The bracelet is tough but a bit lighter than I expected, and perfect for my wife.It is pretty accurate, but one must ensure reasonable amount of daily activity to keep it wound. For example, if you are at a desk all day and don't hit the gym in the evening, you will need to manually wind it (by waving the watch for about 20 seconds) to ensure the spring is adequately wound.
