This hand crafted vintage formicarium (ant terrarium) called the "Sedona", is nothing less than a work of art. It's a classic museum quality ant farm reminiscent of lab hardware that harkens back to laboratories of the 1800's. This is a big cry from those "toy" plastic ant farms sold everywhere by the millions. Because each ant farm is hand made, no two of these ant farms are exactly alike. This ant farm is hand made from planed, sanded, and stained solid pine that features mitered joints and fastened securely with wood screws. It measured 13" x 10" x 2". Pre- cut slots the hold the removable plexiglass panels. A screened air vent hole allows for ample air flow. Two access holes on top allow for watering and feeding as well as adding the ants. The top panel can be completely removed to add fresh sand and for cleaning. The 3D interior of the ant farm features a Southwest Desert background reproduction print from a original painting. Other features include a desert animal figurine along with real rocks and twigs. Use the magnifying glass to spy and study your ants. Watch your ants dig tunnels, build bridges, dig graves and hunt live prey. This ant farm makes a great and unique addition to your study, family room, den, man cave, and coffee table.
