This item was bought to turn off my computer set up. It needs to be set just right so it doesn`t turn off prematurely. Recently i`ve noticed that the light goes off but the power is still on. Not very good for this type of device and I`ve had it less than 2 months.

I understand that some newer printers switch themselves off completely without a device like this. My very nice HP printer doesn’t. Not only does that waste power but during the long times it stood in standby mode because I kept forgetting to switch it off toner seemed to spread within the printer so that the next batch of pages printed had repeating black marks over the text.This device is extremely easy to use, works well, and switches the printer from being in standby to being completely off. It has totally solved the problem and I reckon it will pay for itself easily.Though it would not fit between adjacent plugs in a socket strip, that was easily solved by using an adaptor or an extension lead. It’s still an excellent buy and looks very well made.

It cuts the power out when things are still running but not consuming much energy, which is pointless. I tried it on two different set ups: our audio system and our computer system and it did the same for both.

Used for my upstairs TV, am able to turn on and off the TV whilst still in bed---works a treat!.

I purchased two of these to be used with my computer setup. The item does exactly what it says on the tin. I was a little sceptical due to some other reviews regarding having to reset them all the time etc. But I did not find this to be an issue. On occasion, you do have to reset then if you connect additional items but that's a quick and easy job for the power you safe and protect items from surges.

Had this for 18 months and in the last few months it has been shutting down randomly. Which is not to good when using it for a PC.The idea is brilliant and it did work fine at first. It does what it says. But when it started to go wrong I had a look inside and have an idea what the problem might be. The thing is the quality of the manufacturing is very poor. Components soldered on badly, questionable PCB design and damage to cables that should not be, which exposes live conductors. The components are also fitted very tightly into the body.I won’t be buying it again as I think it’s unsafe. Which is a shame as it’s a good idea.

Superb energy and money saving gadget. Really easy to use at home workstation.Look forward to saving more money.Highly recommend this product from ANSMANN and the AES-2 and AES-1, both energy saving devices.
