Okay, this cleansing oil is so good. It takes off all my makeup—even waterproof mascara—without me having to scrub my face like crazy. It’s super light, doesn’t feel greasy at all, and just melts everything off.My skin always feels clean and soft after using it, and it hasn’t made me break out or feel dry, which is a big deal because my skin can be kinda picky. Also love that there’s no strong scent—it just does its job and does it really well.Honestly, it’s way better than a lot of the pricier stuff I’ve tried. Totally a staple in my skincare routine now!

Love oil based cleansers, and this one is so lightweight and lovely. It rinses off easily and completely while taking make up with it. Leave your skin filling, soft clean, but not dried out in the least. I will definitely be re-purchasing and continuing to use as my regular daily cleanser. Best of all it’s way more affordable than American national brands from pharmaceutical companies.

Third time repurchasing this oil cleanser. Since I wear sunscreen and makeup, oil cleaners have significantly helped clean my skin and reduce texture before washing. I feel like it’s the most gentle on my face and I like that it has a somewhat watery texture that makes rubbing it into the skin easier and more gentle. There is a very light smell but no fragrance. I prefer this one compared to the non sensitive one because I feel like it’s less irritating.

I bought this off faith in the reviews alone and I’m pleased to say the reviews were right. I’ve used many cleansing oils, I do makeup for a living & my makeup needs to LAST all day. Taking it off isn’t the easiest task and I am not one for cotton pads and eye makeup remover or micellar water or makeup cleaning cloths. I also loathe the microfiber make removing cloths. They’re harsh, I don’t care what people say.I’ve used Clinique balm & cleansing oil (good & decently priced), Estée Lauder balm (very good, love the light scent), Dior cleansing oil (they discontinued it), MAC cleansing oil (loved it, great scent but they’re now overpriced), Burt’s Bee’s cleansing oil (I hated this one, heavily fragranced, doesn’t emulsify much, if at all, it’s really only appropriate for the driest skins because if that), DHC cleansing oil (good but harder to get, you have to order it & can’t buy it in store where I live), Elemis pro-collagen cleansing balm (loved it, worked well, great scent, but MAN is it expensive!), Banilla & Co cleansing balm (also good but un-memorable for reasons I can’t say), & ELF holy hydration cleansing balm (good, priced well but my experience was just meh, I can’t explain why).While perusing Amazon, I searched cleansing oils, read reviews & came upon this one.The PROS:It works REALLY WELL. As with all cleansing oils/balms, start with dry hands & face, massage all over the face, add water afterwards, then your makeup comes off in a snap.This formula rinses very clean, you don’t have to add water for DECADES to make it completely emulsify, there’s no residue of the oil after you rinse. I use this with double cleansing, but tested without a cleanser afterward, using a cotton pad with my Dior essence all over my face, & no residual makeup showed up on the pad. That’s a first! I still follow with my foaming cleanser to clean my skin but drier people, you could likely skip a cleanser after because this gets all the makeup off so well. We’ve all been there, tired, want to take off your makeup quickly, but don’t like using wet makeup removal cloths…I’m dry-combination, used to get cystic acne in my youth, (thank you Acutane boosters!!!) but I can still get the occasional breakout at times, especially if I don’t wash with foaming cleanser after a cleansing oil or fail to rinse well enough after using just a cleansing oil. I’ve used this oil with a foaming cleanser after & without when I’m just too tired. I’ve had no issues with residue or breakouts the following day or days after only using this oil to remove my makeup, sans following up with a foaming cleanser.There is no scent to this product, some people like a faint scent, I don’t care either way but unscented products tend to work best for most people.The oil isn’t too runny, it has a nice consistency. Some cleansing oils are so runny, once you pump them in your hand it feels like a race to your face to apply them as they quickly seek out the cracks in your cupped hand to run everywhere. You still don’t want to test it out trying to hold it, but I like the weight of it compared to other brands.The cost vs the size of the product, the quantity is stated in ml, the actual ounces in the product (for my fellow Americans) is 7.7 ounces, which is not bad at all for the price. The description states this, but you have to dig into the products information page to find it. It’s a good value.The CONS:The pump does not have a locking mechanism, so it won’t travel well, but given the size, 7.7 ounces, it’s not really meant for travel. It comes with a plastic piece around the pump to keep it from pumping out during delivery. I kept that piece in case I had a road trip or something so I could place it back around the pump if need be. You could also simply dispense some into a smaller travel bottle for when you will be boarding a flight.The direction, it states on the back of the product, there’s a large white sticker label with English instructions on the back for English speakers, (because it's obvi a Japanese product) & it says to use 4 pumps, after using the product for a week & a half, I feel like 4 pumps is excessive. I have worked in makeup for 2 decades, even when wearing natural makeup I layer & put it on to last an entire day without needing touch ups, full skincare, spf, primer, concealer, foundation, color correctors, separate powders for face & eye, cream blush followed by powder, contour, highlight, eye primer, base shadow, crease shadow, brow highlight, eyeliner, lash primer, tubing mascara, brow pencil then powder, brow gel, followed by setting spray. That’s just a basic, natural day, other days I go for more intense looks. Using this cleansing oil for both looks, I have only ever needed 2 pumps to remove every drop of makeup. Seriously, it leaves NO TRACE behind. Maybe 4 pumps will be needed if you use theater makeup but you don’t need that many pumps to remove your makeup for the most part.Two pumps easily broke down all of my well prepped, very set, all long wearing makeup, it left behind not a crumb of tubing mascara, long wearing foundation, NOTHING.It’s a great cleansing oil, I highly recommend it and will be buying it again.

I love this skin are cleansing oil as it not only cleans my skin and makes it soft too. I think using oil helps protect your skin without over drying it. When using makeup, one use of this oil really cleans up everything. When I use cerave, it usually takes 2 washes for my makeup to be remove from the barrier of my skin. I have also notice a big difference with my pores getting smaller. I just like adding it to my skin care routine.

I've tried other more expensive oil cleanser and always come back to this specific one. Does an amazing job at removing make up it leaves my skin so soft. You can't beat the size of the bottle for the price and how amazing it performs... highly recommend!!!!

I can't comment for makeup usage but for sunscreen and grime at the end of the day this cleanser is great. The first time I used it my pores felt very refreshed and like the water based cleanser after worked better. It didn't dry out my skin which is great because the last thing dry, dehydrated skin needs is to feel drier than it was before.The pump on the bottle works fine and doesn't leak. Emulsifes and rinses easily without leaving a film or residue. Don't know if it stings eyes as I open them after rinsing as I go over my eyes last.This product proves that when the skin is clean the products after work better. Overtime I've seen a difference in my acne and as my other products can work better, my acne is more in control and clearing up gradually. Yes it's basic and not like some other oil cleansers available but if you only need sunscreen and grime washed away at the end of the day, this Kose oil cleanser does the job while being affordable. I've already purchased a refill to continue using.
