Crisp shifts, great with a short shifter
These bushings worked great for my Fiat 500 Abarth! The BushingFix bushings were the perfect complement to my short shifter and made my shifts feel crisper. Now it feels like I'm driving a sports car when rowing through the gears! Trickiest part of the install was removing the old bushing material. I cut out most of it with a razor blade, torched the remaining rubber for 30 seconds, and was easily able to clean out the carrier. Afterwards, I pressed in the bushings using a vise. Make sure you count the number of turns when removing your original bushing carrier! Update 4/27/26: unfortunately, I have to change my review to help other Abarth owners. I went through 2 sets of these bushings and in both sets, the yellow bushing failed leaving me stranded twice. The bushings felt great while they lasted but having two of the yellow bushings fail is not just a coincidence but a product issue. I installed some cheap green cable ends for the time being until I figure out how to replace them with a higher quality set. The storefront is a small business and was very quick to respond to my support requests. I just hope they can figure out the problem for the Fiat 500 Abarth.

Excellent option
This works great. Just have to clean the area of all remaining rubber. Which is a little bit of a pain. I purchased the NA1kit at first. The smaller orange bushing is to small. Will not work on my pre facelift Mini. The FM1kit works perfect.

Bushings
This is my second one. First one had a little chip out of it. Thought it would be ok. Came out after about a 100 miles. So now I'm trying it again. Wish me luck

Stay away from this product!
Definitely not a good product. After installing the bushings one of the bushing failed on the first ride after install. Completely fell apart and left me stranded! Had to get a tow back home. Huge loss!! I wouldn’t trust this product at all. I read in reviews that others have had similar problems but I figured some people are just negative, this is not the case with this product. I would say pass on buying this item.

Works, way cheaper then the dealer parts option
So I had this break 3 years ago, and this option didn't exist, was around $180 just to buy the whole linkage at the dealership to get the part. Hardest part was getting the old bushing part off the transmission(tight space), ended up getting a pair of needle nose vise-grips and adjusting them to slip behind the old bushing and pulling to pop it off. Installing the new bushing was easy, just clean out the old cable end, used a vice to press in the new one per the instructions. I used a 1x1 wood post to "pound" the new bushing back onto the transmission.

Fell apart
I inserted this bushing in my 2014 Mini Cooper (F56). I could already tell how dry the bushing out of the packaging. Pressed it in using a clamp as instructed. The diameter is a few millimeters off two it was loose in the housing. Took a short drive in city traffic and back to see how it fared. Bushing had completely fallen apart. Waste of money and effort.

Great idea, but didn't last for me
Only lasted a few hundred miles before it split in half, so I lost ability to shift. Luckily I was close to home, and was able to get home stuck in 3rd gear. The supplied tools made it pretty simple to install, but not sure why it split in half. I did use a small vise to install it, and it was a very tight fit. It was within the return period, so no issue getting a refund. Based on problem, I didn't trust trying another bushing, so I bought a full new cable. Replacing just the bushing is WAY easier that changing out the entire cable, so its a shame it didn't last. As a note, this was installed on a 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman S. Also, because this bushing is much thicker than the stock bushing, the stock security clips don't fit around it.

Quick fix for Mini Cooper
This is a cheap and quick fix for Mini coopers with sudden loss of shifting. The real problem is with the shifter itself and the problem will probably happen again unless you pony up the money to replace it. My total repair was about $100.00.

Cheap plastic part
Didn't last a day or less than 1 hour of driving on my mini. Mechanic said it's a cheap plastic part, might not last long. He knows his stuff. I would buy a good cable at a recycling center instead

Not good quality
I purchased two of these kits….The first one went in crooked but I believed it would work. Unfortunately, it slipped out of place and failed. Ok…install error I thought. Bushing kit number two…it popped into the sleeve perfectly. I drove the car for an hour, it shifted nicely, no issues. I got home tried reversing into the driveway….and nothing. I checked the linkages….one was missing. I found half of it on the ground broken. Unbelievable…good thing I made it home. It is cheap, too bad it is a success or complete failure.

Works but needed some trimming to fit
The side to side bushing popped right in but the front to back required some reaming to get it to fit I tried channel locks/c-clamps but it was a no go It required another 1mm of reaming to get it on but its not going anywhere

Waste of money
I guess I should have read/trusted the reviews on this product… After taking it out of the package I noticed a little pieces missing from the flange, I managed to chip another piece off while handling it… I hoped it would be ok, I pressed the bushing into the eye and it seemed fine… when I pushed the eye/socket onto the ball, the entire back of the bushing fell off and then the bushing pushed all the way though the eye… defeated I grabbed the bushing to look at it and it brake into 3 pieces. I believe this should have been a stiff rubber but the bushing seemed to be a very brittle plastic. Very disappointed
