Almost admit I was a little bit disappointed with this product I did think there would be some form of aroma with it but there's absolutely but then I guess that it does state pure and natural the important thing is it does leave your hair soft manageable and shiny especially if you leave on overnight and then give it a thorough wash the next day to remove all the oil are you may find it looks greasy apart from the aroma a very good product at a very good price giving you good value for your money

Amazing oil

I have very dry, porous hair that no longer feels soft and is frizzy underneath now that I have quite a few grey hairs.I applied this from roots to tips and left overnight as recommended on the label. I put over a shower cap except while sleeping to give it a bit of heat and slept with a hand towel on the pillow. Mid-morning, I washed hair twice and conditioned as usual. When rinsing hair, it felt much less porous and was easier to rinse.When dry, hair was super soft, had lovely movement, no longer crunchy and hard. Condition looks better and even frizzies underneath are improved. So I think this works well and if that's the result after 1 treatment, I think it will be even better after a few treatments.I have made my own amla oil before and this works better. The ingredients say sesame oil and amla extract and I don't know which, or if both are responsible for the good conditioning.I like that the manufacturer is producing to UK and international laboratory standards.I have removed one star only because it doesn't say what percentage is amla extract, and also because it comes in a brown plastic bottle instead of glass. But I guess this keeps shipping and packing costs lower and this is a good price for a really great hair conditioner that should last for many treatments.Can recommend highly for effectiveness

This amla oil cools your head down, and gives you a very good night's sleep.The smell of it takes some getting used to though and can be very overpowering. Also it is sticky and greasy so you will have to wash your hair off before you can go out of the house, so keep that in mind before applying it. That’s just the nature of the oil though, not specific to this product.It makes claims about benefit of hair growth, but that is very hard to judge in any reasonable amount of time. Been using this for a week. I notice little difference after that time.It's unpleasant to use, it's got a dirty cooking oil smell in my opinion.Not here to say it's not good for some, maybe? But genuinely, I don't want to put this on me any more, there's no benefit and it is not nice IMHO.Try olive oil.

This is a nice enough alma oil, though it doesn't smell as nice as the last alma oil I had. It is actually sesame oil with alma extract in unspecified quantity. Fortunately, it doesn't smell of sesame either - doesn't really smell of anything. This pleases my daughters greatly as they both really didn't like the smell of the rosemary oil I was using before this one! I've found it really helpful to moisturise their scalps - they both suffer with seborrheic dermatitis but haven't had any issues using this oil and their hair is in good condition. Quite happy with it overall.
