L class perfection for DIY
I ripped out the coving from my living room using a mulittool -> dust everywhere, all over the ground floor of my house.I got a plasterer to come in and plaster a wall in my living room, leaving it looking like the surface of the moon. I had to fill the low points with filler.I had loads of filling to do, cut out for surround sound, network cables, behind my tv.I read the reviews, I got this gas 35 l class from bosch. It comes with a fabric bag and a black bag.Using the fabric bag, I sanded down my walls, and also removed the adhesive on my ceiling and walls from the coving using the dust extractor hooked up to my 125 random orbital sander. My 18v bosch cordless dust extractor would not have coped with the amount of filler I sucked up, I would have had to bash out the filter a few times and most likely given up, put on a mask and made a huge mess. The bosch gas 35l just sucked it all up. I wore a dust mask, and there was some escaping dust, but not to the point where I had to wipe down every surface when I finished, the sander kicks some dust out when I lift it off the surface to angle it, the suction is behind the sander, dust escapes to the front. After I sanded, I popped open the collection bin and using the fabric bag, the bin was dust free, all my sanding dust was in the fabric bag.Don't get me wrong in this, the filter cleaning mechanism kicks off when I sand for a protracted period of time and its odd listening to the noise it makes while sanding. The actual filter, I pulled it out and it was spotless. So great dust extraction doing a large sanding job.Mitre saw: It sucked up most of the sawdust, but some escaped. I was happy with this, as with no dust extractor means I am showering in sawdust!Tracksaw: It sucks up the dust but some is kicked forward and escapes at the end. This is with the bosch blue tracksaw with tape on the silly side hole. Now, fittings: My 18v cordless dust extractor has a section of cycle inner tude to hold it to my tracksaw, so far with the gas 35l, this is not required. The bosch blue sander fits inside the nozzle of the gas 35 l hose, the tracksaw has the nozzle rammed into it, as does my mitre saw.Its a pain having to unclip the power tool attachment to clip on the normal hoover attachments, but once its done, the dirt and lumps get sucked up. Block the end and you get the filter cleaner going mad!Not used it for a lengthy period of time, but I love the l class gas 35.Didn't get the m class as I am a DIYer, and its not worth the extra when the l class uses the same filters as the m class. Use the fabric bags, and and the filter doesn't clog, so the m class fucntionality is not required in my humble view.My 18v dust extractor is crap, I need a new filter for it and I constantly have to clean the filter, bang the filter, shake the filter as suction just drops off, so in my view the fabric bags are a godsend. And should the dust escape the fabric bag and block the filter, the gas 35 l will blow air through it the wrong way to clear it...L boxes clip on the top, manual states only one, but there is a you tube video of the m class where the bosch demo chap says you can sit on it, so I have two l boxes on mine currently. The power take off works well, I plug my tools in and when I start the tool, the gas 35l kicks into life. Turn the tool off, and after 15 seconds the dust extractor turns off as well.Downsides:Its a mess to store this, the nozzels, pipes and power cord seem to be everywhere with no tidy storage. My 18v one breaks down and stores away easily...The gas 35 l is noisy, I had to use ear defenders when sanding and sawing.Cost of fabric bags. I am going to find a long clip so I can cut a corner off of a fabric bag and empty it, apply the clip to cover the hole entirely then reuse the bag.

Loads of power
This hoover has a lot more power than i expected, its also larger than i expected, package contained 2 different types of bags which was a nice e surprise(bags are not required with this machine but are recommended) the package arrived one week early so very fast delivery, hoover is very well built its the usual bosch quality just an fyi the accessories are inside the hoover so don't panic like me.

Great product
Brilliant hoover and most of all dust extractor just what I needed when using my bosch gts 10 j tablesaw or mitre saws or just general dust extraction when needed.... I recommend this product and again bosch have made a brilliant product.

Typical bad Bosch longevity sigh..
The media could not be loaded. Have had this for a bit shy of three years.. It's a powerful vacuum and I like that it can auto start with certain power tools plugged in. However, as has been the case with numerous Bosch blue tools, they just don't last long until they break. This one has developed a problem where the flex goes into the vacuum housing causing it to cut out. Had the same issue with a multi tool too. That was a Bosch multi tool that replaced my previous Bosch blue multi tool!!! Bosch table saw is having problems too sigh. I look after my kit so going forward I will be looking at Makita or something else as I have had enough of the poor build quality. Thankfully the Gas35 is still under warranty so I can send it back but it's a pain to do so.. I hope Bosch actually pay attention to reviews because the quality has gone down a lot since I first started using them 20 years ago.Oh and the three metal tubes are now firmly wedged into each other so are pretty much impossible to take apart -I'm a strong lad too...

Typical Bosch product totally reliable
Absolutely brilliant..it’s stopped any dust flying around the house while I’m doing diy decorating prep work, so much healthier for chest and eyes.
