Buy an adapter!
I have yet to use it. I wish I knew the light did not with the power adapter. I would have purchased that when I purchased the light. It’s useless without it!

Outstanding
Pros Great Brightness, pure white, better than my double fourescent bulb interms of the quality of the light. Size. It doesnt look like much but is the perfect size. Just laid it on the top of my tank cover and it looks awesomeCons I bought a marineland LED light and I lost the box it came in so I can't return it. Not nearly as bright, bulky, but I can still use the blue lighting for night time effect. If you are looking for a bright daytime light - this is the one for you.

Update: Quit working after just a month.
I bought these lights to hook up to a Current USA Ramp Timer Pro. My only complaint is, make sure you have the 24 volt not the 12 volt power supply. These lights are awesome actinics and I'll use them again in the future.Update: The lights worked great to begin with but after just a month or so one bar started flashing off and on and the other quit all together.

OK for lps and softies. Disappointing for sps.
I retrofitted my biocube 29 hood with these. Wanted to grow lps and sps coral. Ultimately used 4 actinic and 4 of the marine fusion modules. I also purchased the ramp timer (which was great) and the appropriate splitters and power supply. The color spectrum is OK. Many of my coral dulled significantly despite changing the intensities and placement. The strips have hot spots and do not diffuse the light well. With all the money I spent on these and finding a reasonable mix I was only about $100 dollars away from a Radion. I wasn't happy with the coral coloration and decided to make the leap to a radion xr15 pro. Wish I would have gone with the radion in the fist place. First, there is no comparison when it comes to spectrum. That dumpy looking orange brown acan is now purple blue and red again. Second, par is much better with the radion. I ran the trulumens at about 70% actinic and 80% fusion which would get me 200 par at the top and around 75-100 at the bottom. I run the radion at 30% and get better, more even par values all over the tank. 3rd, the level of control you can have with the radion is insane. The ramp timer was a great addition to the trulumen straps but doesn't even compare.Do yourself a favor and just save up for the better light.

Makes coral color pop
The media could not be loaded. I currently have one of the actinic lights installed along with the generic light that comes with the fluval 13.5. the addition of the true lumen light added a lot of color to my corals. They seem to like it. I am going to add another one in the future. the difference is quite Stark when having just the included light on and then using the added light. Highly recommended it. I also used a generic power supply for the light. It seems to be functioning quite well even after 6 weeks. I attached the light to the lid of the aquarium on the inside using gorilla double-sided tape.
