Avantree Repose - Bluetooth In-Ear Sleep Headphones with Tiny Earbuds

I'm not sure why it has taken me this long to get a product like this. My use case: I've been unable to fall asleep without a podcast or audiobook playing for 10 years. Usually I've just had one earbud jammed in my ear (I sleep on my side, so squashed between my ear and pillow). I've ruined half a dozen pairs of (cheap) earphones in this time. I usually set a podcast off with a 60 minute sleep timer. I'm usually asleep by this time, although I will occasionally need another half an hour or so. It's perfect for my use case, but there are a few little issues that have meant it hasn't exceeded my expectations even further. Rather than writing paragraphs, I'll do a list of pros/cons and observations: + Easy to connect, once paired, just flick the switch, press play and go to sleep + Adequate, responsive controls + Band is comfortable, flexible and I don't notice it's there + Sound quality and isolation is perfect for listening to spoken word + Battery life is very good. It has lasted me a whole week on a single charge, with average of 60 - 90 mins playtime, on low volumes each night. It seems it doesn't use much battery when it's just sat idle, but still connected to my phone + Comfortable earbuds, and I didn't previously consider myself to have small ears. + Excellent design insofar as the wires for the earbuds are quite short from the band, they don't seem to snag on anything and potentially cause damage, which is important as they cannot be replaced. + They're so low profile in the ear, I've discovered I can use them with my motorcycle helmet, which is a real bonus. I can even hear my podcasts when riding on motorways - I never intended them for this purpose! However lack of waterproofness and the buttons being so easy to press by accident when you move your head means they're not perfect for biking. + When connected and in operation, no flashing lights to cause light pollution for partner ! Neutral: - the earbuds aren't quite big enough, so I often wake up and they're no longer in my ears - not really a problem for me. This probably happens when I swap sides - the buttons are a little 'clicky' - would be nice if they were silent - it would be nice to have the play/pause button to have more functions, for example 'play next' if you quickly tap it twice. But not a huge problem for me. Negative: - sound isn't in sync when playing video. This isn't my use case, so I don't actually care. But they claim it syncs up - not true. Using pixel 8 pro, for reference. - replaceable earbud tips would be a useful feature. - I'm unsure about long term durability, but I've had no reason to doubt this so far. Summary : I'm in love with these things and I'm not sure how I will cope without them in future. A few improvements here and there and they would be beyond perfect for me, as I can comfortably use them while riding my motorbike, which is another area that I've never found a good solution for. Probably the best thing I've bought for myself this year.

Always on the look out for good sleep headphones. Pros 1. Bluetooth, easy to connect and remembers volume settings, unlike others Cons 1. These are just too small, maybe if you have mouse ears then they will fit. Mine continue to fall out! 2. Battery life, you will see batteries reduce by 50% overnight, meaning you really have to charge after every use. 3. Usb B charging, come on everything is usb C these days. 4. Poor customer service. In summary, okay but time will tell on how long they will last. Star removed for each con... Update 10-03-2024.......after 6 months the left earbud stopped working.

Product bought as present for my wife who likes to go to sleep listening to soft music or nature sounds. She has tried many over years, but these were the first wireless ones. In a word she loves them! They charge easily and last for 2 nights. They have controls for on off and sound. They do not get tangled or feel awkward. They fit in the ear nicely and comfortably. They connected over bluetooth with bo problems. One issue we had was the sound suddenly dropped after 3 weeks. We got in touch with manufacturer who replaced them without any hassle at all. We hope the issue was a one off and there will be no more issues as the product is great. However it is good to know that the company has a great after sales service which puts our mind at rest. Update (3 Dec 24): After 8 months since original purchase we are now on our 4th set. Sadly despite being a great product there seems to be an issue with either the parts, design or manufacturing where the right channel volume drops out after a couple of months use. The huge upside is that the after sales service and the the 2 year warranty is fantastic and the support team are very helpful and replace the faulty items without any hassle. I am really hoping that the current replacement has overcome the original issues and we now have a fault free reliable set. In light of this being an ongoing problem, i have therefore dropped one star, but look forward to reinstating 5 stars when this is permanently solved.

I’ve tried several different sleep headphones/headbands over the years and this one is by far the best of the lot. Very fairly priced and fantastic quality! Doesn’t cause any discomfort when used either (unlike every other alternative) Due to the nature of sleep headphones, the speakers may be prone to malfunctioning after long term usage, however, even after that, the included warranty provided a replacement without any issue (Thanks Riza!). I would recommend this to anyone who wants headphones that don’t make you wake up with sores in your ears after using them.

I thought these headphone would be perfect for me to use in bed. Within 10 weeks the first pair had packed up completely with no sound out of either earpiece and so I approached their customer services who were very helpful in troubleshooting and offered me a replacement set of headphones (hence the 3-star review). This replacement set have lasted FOUR WEEKS before the right-hand earpiece has ceased to work!! I think I will give them up as a bad job as I am not impressed and I will be going back to a headband type of headphones in future.

Great product, sound, comfort. However six weeks in and the right speaker died. It could just be bad luck.

I initially thought the earphone cables would break as all of my previous headphones have, however I've had these bow for several months of nightly use and they're still in top condition. The sound quality is acceptable enough for playing rain sounds etc when sleeping, but I wouldn't choose these to listen to music on although they're not the worst quality for that either. I've tried handfuls of different snoring blocking earphones, including samsung buds2 pro with ANC, however these are much more comfortable being smaller and still do a decent job at passive noise cancelling. Edit, after 6 months the right earbud has gone to about 20% volume, I've even carefully taken it apart to ensure it's fully clean but the speaker seems to have given up. Shame.

I love these earbuds for sleep. They don’t bother my ears and the battery lasts all night, which I can’t find in any of the wireless earbuds. I had an issue with them where one side stopped working. I reached out to the company and Rosally worked with me to resolve the issue and ended up replacing with a new set of earbuds. Great product and great company.

Works OK for sleeping due to the small size of earbud. But the neck unit tends to slip off if you move around in bed. Small glitch in the on/off button too that I haven't reported in. So maybe that's just on mine. They could've fixed the slipping issue by making the wires a bit longer so that they could cross each other and go in the opposite ear. But they are just a tad too short for that. Recommended, however.

I use these listening to music/podcasts while in bed. I really appreciate the concept: price is good, finish is great and the sound quality is excellent. However... I have big ears so the non-changable small earbuds just fall out with every move which is super annoying. I have McGivered some sillicone earbuds over the fixed earbuds which works pretty OK, but it is not optimal of course. Secondly, the idea of the brace is nice, but it just isn't so practical. It doesn't stay in place for me and shifts to the side all the time. I'd rather that the battery and controls are a smaller unit in the wire (check Sennheiser CX150 BT - overpriced, and have their own quirks but designwise a better concept for me).

Ich liebe diese Kopfhörer! Wie viele sogenannte Schlaf-Kopfhörer ich schon probiert habe, kann ich gar nicht mehr zählen. Teure, günstige, komplett neue, mit der allerneuesten Technologie,... Aber so richtig geeignet war für mich kein einziger. Diese Repose Wireless Earbuds for Sleeping von Avantree sind mein heiliger Gral. Ich habe sie inzwischen schon 5 Mal gekauft und immer ein oder zwei in Reserve, da ich wirklich jede, jede Nacht mit den Kopfhörern einschlafe. Ich höre keine Musik damit, da ich mit Musik nicht einschlafen kann, sondern ASMR. Und diese kleinen Kopfhörer sind perfekt dafür geeignet. Sie bleiben im Ohr, meistens sind sie auch noch immer am Morgen im Ohr, drücken nicht. Ich bin Seitenschläfer und habe sehr kleine Gehörgänge. Da passen normal große Stecker gar nicht rein und fallen immer raus. Aber nicht bei diesen Schätzchen. Ich benutze sie nur zum Schlafen, lade sie am Morgen gleich wieder auf und kann nachts gut schlafen, trotz schnarchendem Partner. Mir ist bewusst, dass diese Kopfhörer nicht ewig halten, sind ja auch nächtlich in Betrieb und nicht so robust wie Sportkopfhörer. Aber bei mir halten sie dann schon 10-12 Monate. Und als dann einer der Kopfhörer links oder rechts nicht mehr funktioniert hat, hat der Hersteller sehr kulant reagiert. Also, ich bin begeistert, finde den Preis gerechtfertigt und werde diese Schlaf-Kopfhörer immer wieder kaufen.
