I used these for new shoes to break them in, worked a treat. Happy with result.

The gel is a *very* thin layer. Might be suitable for a cracked heel, but absolutely useless for impact protection (which was why I bought them).

bought this deal with my cracked heel but the gel area is quite small and did not over my entire heel. the picture in the description is misleading. The smooth thin sock does make it easier to slip into my shoes as opposed to the gel sock with no cover.

Decent quality, perfect for all types of shoes and trainers, comfy and durable. Fits snug and protects your skin. Easy to use, wash on a cold wash and let them naturally dry for longer lasting. Lovely and stretchy so fits your foot perfectly.

Each pair lasted just a few days before having to be thrown away sadly.

I am struggling to find a form of words acceptable to Amazon to say that these have helped me enormously.

My interest in getting & wearing (one of) these heel protectors is that I have recently been suffering from Retro Calcaneal Bursitis – an inflammation & swelling of the bursa (lubricating fluid sac) around the insertion of the base of my Achilles tendon on the heel of my right foot. Apparently, the cause of the bursitis was tightness or rubbing of the heel of my shoe on the left side of the heel of my foot. Therefore, I my hope was that wearing one of these heel protectors on that heel would alleviate the problem, allow the swelling to subside & allow me to put that heel on the ground without pain, so that I could again walk without a severe limp.These Heyu-Lotus Heel Protectors do not have a very thick heel protection pad, but that is the reason for my interest in them. Shoes which normally fit me are tighter with a swollen heel, exacerbating the problem. Making them even tighter with the more common thick gel heel cup in my normal-sized shoes would make matters even worse.The Heyu-Lotus Heel Protectors are little more than a short tube of sock-like material, with an almost sticky thin gel coating over about half their circumference for most of their length. Put on next to the skin of my heel, with the gel section towards the inside, tends to hold the cushioning in the right place on the right spot. They appear to be helping. However, occasionally, I might need to take my right shoe & sock off to re-position the heel protector, as it is inclined to ‘walk’ down over my heel onto the sole of my foot as I walk around.In addition to wearing the heel protectors, I have been careful to choose which shoes I wear, so as to alleviate the problem by wearing the shoes that squeeze/rub least.I suspect that these heel protectors may not last in good order for a long period, but at a price of only £5.99 for 2 pairs, they still represent good value in my view.Over the last 2 days, the swelling has receded & I can now walk normally again.

I'm not sure about this. It's like a sleeve for the foot lined with a thin piece of gel. I didn't feel much support for my heels, intact my feet just felt really cold with them on. In terms of fit was a snug fit.Wouldn't recommend it.
