Works as it should in my boat with my Jensen Marine unit. It does not however charge my iphone but it does charge my regular Ipods. The cost is a little steep for a cable but its inline with what others charge for their cables. Happy with my purchase. Would have provided 5 stars if it charged my iphone too.

This cable enables me to control my iPod while it is safely stored away from the outdoor elements.This cable and the Jensen Marine MSR2107 Waterproof Stereo with Full iPod Controls is the best purchase I have made for my boat I have full control of my iPod with this cable and all the info is on my radio's display. I did not want a CD player because that technology is old. I have every CD I own on my iPod or my computer. I just plug this cable into my iPod and the above stereo and I have hours and hours of music at my finger tips. No CDs to switch out or worry about storing.

I bought 2 other jenson cables before I ended up with the right connector. Make sure you know what you are buying. Works like the cable should. Its VERY long, cumbersome but better than being too short! The Ipod connector comes with a little cover... USE IT dont lose it! I kept mine underneath my console and it still rusted a little.. plugged my phone in and fried my iPhone!!! Protect it when not using it. Does NOT charge iphone. Would be nice to see it in an iPhone 5 configuration.
