Good story and fun characters
My daughter loves the Isadora Moon series, and lapped this book up. They're long enough to have a proper story arc and build interest in old and new characters, yet not to the point of being off-putting for children looking to expand their reading skills. The story also covers topics - friendships, sharing concerns etc - that children of that age-group are likely to experience themselves, so it's also a useful tool for talking through real life stuff! The illustrations are also very good. Would recommend.

magical
My daughter is reading this book, she is 6 years old and she absolutely loves it. She struggles with some of the words, I'm unsure if this is because English isn't her first language or because of her age but this is a positive as she is learning new words every day. There are a few illustrations scattered through the pages breaking up the text and helping to keep her absorbed. I've occasionally found my 13 year old daughter guiltily reading the book, to her little sister though of course!

Fantasy fun
It’s a lovely book with lots of fantasy themes thrown in. Isadora is part fairy and part vampire and is more than excited to visit a mermaid friend undersea! Down there she meets an unhappy mermaid, can Isadora help in this charming adventure?Fun with nice artwork and ideal for young readers.
