RBP-005 Rear Bumper Protector

This product was about half the price of what the dealership wanted, and I think it looks better than the cheap looking chrome one VW offers. I understand that this was a generic product used on various vehicles, but in the end, it looks FACTORY. Some reviews mentioned there was a gap on the lip and it didn't fit right...but I didn't have that problem because I watched a YouTube video by "MAC'S DIY" called "2018 VW Atlas - How to install rear bumper protector" and it helped me achieve a perfect installation. Yeah, you can slap it on and be done with it in 2 minutes or you can take your time and spend the 10-15 minutes to make it look right. My vehicle is a 2019 VW Atlas, but they're all the same, unless you have a CrossSport which is the smaller vehicle. A few tips: Clean your bumper with rubbing alcohol and dry it before applying this protector. Razor blade the paper of the pre-installed 3M tape underneath so that you can press down a section at a time. Start at the middle and press down and forward making sure that lip is not leaving a gap. I knew not to go the cheap route for a quality bumper guard on my 2016 CX-5, and this one is perfect! Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Installation was easy and I had it done in about 10 minutes if you count cleaning before and removing the tape before placing it. I highly recommend this product!

I purchased this protective strip for my new Mazda CX-5 and had great anxiety about doing the installation myself (I am 75!). I was concerned that anything with tacky tape is hard to work with and that I would mess it up. I am being totally honest with you when I share that I had such concern that it sat in my garage in the packaging almost until the time where the return time was running out and no one was around to help me: it was either do it now or I needed to return it. After taking the strip out of the package and checking that it would fit and then assessing that I thought it would work, I "bit the bullet" and took the tape off of the back of the rubber. I started at one end and just slowly pressed the rubber strip to the area of the back of my tailgate area that needed to be protected. I did not want the tailgate to get scratched when I would put things in the tailgate of the car and I wanted a "non-slip" entry for my dog, as well. I now have both. It was easy to do and my angst was unnecessary! It was quite easy to apply and took me less than 5 minutes. I got it on correctly in the first attempt. Groceries can go in and out with ease and my dog can, too!

Fits great, looks great. Friends thought it was part of the base car. Don't have to worry about scuffing my paint.

I have had the Dawn Enterprises RBP-005 Rear Bumper Protector on my Ford Explorer for 2 years. With dog kennels being loaded daily, the bumper protector has held up and stayed in place. Does it's job of protecting the painted bumper very well. Highly recommended and it is worth the price.

I don't always do reviews, but this bumper protector is a solid buy. I would buy this again and fits nicely on my 2022 Mazda CX5.

Fits but to be noted this is not a vehicle specific cover, it’s a generic part. You are expected to bend the cover as it is installed to conform to the rear bumper of your vehicle. Out of the box it does not fit, bending during install provide a close enough fit. So the fit isn’t perfect but it will protect the bumper. Happy with the purchase so far. Tracking provided was for fedex but arrived with canpar. So tracking provided was no good but it arrived.
