Works great on game day, but it's really large and kind of heavy, so make sure that you use both hands so you don't drop it on top of your players minis they spent hours painting, only to have you drop this on top of them and break them into tiny little bits. Easy to read and clearly marked.

If you can store this with your regular playing table its a good tool to have around - but if you've got to take it with you, its big, like bigger than the books big.You can use it one of two ways, by placing it on the table or holding it above the table to estimate. On the table the downside is that you either have to pick all the pieces up and put them back down, or you have to use this as a predefined AOE effect. Holding it above the table is a lot more flexible, but it is pretty big so not the easiest thing to do.All that being said, it does make figuring out ranges a lot easier than with rulers (which have similar problems anyway) or just eyeballing it and hoping for the best.

This came in a sturdy box with bubble wrap and has protective plastic sheeting on both sides to keep it from getting scratched or damaged in shipping. It comes from a US company and has a one-year warranty. The unit is very sturdy, but the weight makes it a bit gangly to use. If you are newer to D&D it’s a great way to learn about your ability area effects and limitations. It has 3-line colors for different uses. Red for a half circle, black for square, and 90 degree angles. I wish the square areas had the center marked. There is also brown for 45 degree cones but the color is very light and hard to see.
