I had found a small package of cod skin treats in Marshall's and my dog really enjoyed them. However, even at a markdown they were expensive. So I checked Amazon and found these. Ounce for ounce they are about 2/3 the price of the small bag I had. These are also made in USA so I have some confidence they aren't sullied with melamine or something equally awful. I like that they are using fish skin that would otherwise be wasted, making them a sustainable product. Best of all, the dog really loves them. Normally she inhales treats in 5 seconds but she gets a good long chew with these. They are also easily broken to make smaller treats. Bonus points that they're not terribly smelly. This giant bag should last a while but I would buy them again.

Single ingredient treats are my new go-to for both my cats and dog. My dog loved how crunchy these are! These arrived with over a year remaining before their expiration, and they don't smell too fishy. The only bad news was that my cats knocked over the tube while we were away and the dog ate most of them at once! I learned next time, and I now purchase the bulk bags and keep them in a drawer.The brand seems great, too. Everything is made in the USA!

My dog used to love chewing on bones. How it was determined she had food allergies and no longer could have traditional bones. She missed the crunch so we investigated various Salomon chews. She absolutely loves these. Gives her the crunch she desires along with a tasty treat. So glad we found these for her.

My dogs love these healthy treats. 100 percent cod skins and made in the USA. I bought another brand once and they smelled strange and then O noticed they were made in China.

Just go ahead and purchase this. The reviews tell it all! A bit pricey but it’s worth it. My dog enjoys eating this smelly treat. I will admit this is a hard treat, a bit rough on the edges but my dog loves it and doesn’t mind. I would not leave my dog unattended when giving him this, simply because of the fear of him choking. 4 stars because the packaging is TERRIBLE, the cod skins will puncture the packaging leaving small holes in the plastic bag and if not stored properly this could dry out the treat or leave cod skin crumbs all over your floor.

I want to start this off by saying that these are some of my dog’s favorite treats. It’s exactly what it’s marketed as. Single ingredient cod skin rolls. I’m really happy with these treats and I’m relieved that my dog is able to enjoy them without getting an upset stomach.However, these are incredibly inconsistent. I don’t mind because I break them up anyways, but keep it in mind when looking at the money aspect. The sizes are all over the place. I bought the 2.5 oz regular sized ones. You can see the difference in sizes in the picture. These are all the treats that came in this tube. For a large dog, this isn’t enough and probably not worth it unless you buy the gigantic bag one. For a small dog, it works perfect.My dog is 11lbs and gets maybe 2-3 a week. She has fish in her food already so I try to limit it in treats. I break all the pieces up so they’re about the size of the bottom two sticks. They lasted since Christmas. This is my second time purchasing. The first one I bought had more in it though so we’ll see.They are crunchy so not for dogs with chewing issues. They don’t last long as a chew for bite-y dogs. It takes mine maybe 2 minutes, but my girl also devours these as quickly as possible. Because of how much she enjoys them, I don’t have a problem with buying this. Maybe in the future I’ll get a bigger sized version, but it’s a pretty big jump from 3 oz to 32.Case in point, these are high value rewards made with one ingredient. They are crunchy but still retain fish oil that gives them an extra shine. They smell like fish (because they are) but it doesn’t linger afterwards and I don’t mind personally. The sizing is too inconsistent but I don’t think these treats are expensive for such a high quality product. They are obviously hand rolled because no two treats are the same. While I would be a lot more happier if every batch was made the same as the first time I bought this, I can’t deny my dog’s obvious enthusiasm for these.

My dog loves these treats and her skin and hair have noticeably improved since she started eating it.

He crunches on them like he’s eating potato chips — it’s hilarious and satisfying to hear. Just one ingredient and hand-rolled, which I really appreciate. They are a bit pricier, but totally worth it as a high-quality treat.
