Canon EOS Rebel T5i/700D For Dummies Paperback – 9 Aug. 2013

I don't consider myself a DSLR dummy - I bought this book as my 700D manual fell apart and the on-line version is just not practical.It really is a good reference and can be either read from cover to cover or dipped into for information when needed. The authors present the subject very clearly with just enough detail. Modern DSLR's pack so many features it is very difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff, but this book details each and every one of those features in a very logical manner.Well worth the purchase price.

Great book. Comprehensive, sensible advice. Not overly technical, very clear guidance. Book takes you through from putting batteries into your new camera right up to movie making. It is sectionalised so you can refer to, or move in to, a single section for reference. The best advice is given in the intoduction - patience, practice and fun. Literally, take the book and your photography step by step. Dont rush into the hi-tech stuff too soon. Take your time. This is a VERY useful book to anyone with a Canon 700 digital SLTR, beginner or advanced.

Superb book. Not patronising, everything explained in a logic fashion. My only complaint is nothing to do with the contents of the book, but the fact my Kindle App on the Nexus 8 keeps saying it requires re-downloading every time I open it. I click ignore and the book opens fine despite this message.

Great starter book and assumes little knowledge - will get you taking nice photos quickly - also goes into more technical photography for those interested - if you have a D700 you wi9ll be - as a beginner I am finding this book very helpful and would recommend - I didn't even know what "EOS" stands for!!. -- Good shooting

I am a huge fan of the "For Dummies" series and this book is no exception.Easy to understand, and well laid ou,t it beats the Canon manual any day.Would be lovely if we could have a version in English rather than Americanbut hey .....

Great book, it helped me loads when I got my first SLR (Canon EOS 700D). I was a little overwhelmed with it at first and little by little I read the book (well, most of it)and I have a fair idea of the basics now. I would have been completely lost without this book.

This is a well laid out and easy to understand manual, much better than the Canon camera manual. Step by step instructions take the reader from using 'point and shoot' to more advanced techniques. Good clear illustrations help with this process. Excellent value for money and invaluable to a new owner of this camera.

Not really a book reader, but this is actually quite good and written by someone who has actually used the camera. I brought the paperback copy shame you don't get the kindle edition for free though.
