Use these outside where the weather eats up plastic ties.
I bought these to replace the black plastic zip ties that get eaten up by the Las Vegas sun. Metal ties are made of strong metal and are a great replacement for plastic zip ties.

Much better at lasting than zip ties
I use these mainly outside on projects that are going to be in the sun a lot because regular (and even UV resistant) zip ties cannot last as long.These operate just like a zip tie but with a little less flexibility and I can't cinch these down as tight, but I can get them tight enough for the jobs I use them for.The screw hole base is nice because I can run the metal zip tie through the wider hole and then have a place to secure it with a screw. I ordered some like this before but it did not have the base.These are great if you are going to be doing a project that sits in the sun a lot and need to hold something securely.

Perfect Solution for our Feeders
We have several migratory bird feeders that are up for only part of the year and we usually attach them with zip ties, however squirrels have been know to chew the ties. Not anymore !! These are terrific and if you're careful, reusable. We have also used them for permanent repairs to our yard art and wind chimes. Basically anything that is exposed to sunlight and weather is a candidate for these fasteners. Just love them !!

Works Great !!
They work great for the purpose of which they are being used which is to secure pvc piping.They are stainless steel so you never have to worry about them breaking or degrading due to sun and you don't have to worry about them rusting either, so for the price i give them a 10+... high quality !!

Not re-usable
I thought I could re-use these as I do larger, plastic zip ties but these cannot be slipped loose as I do the others.That said for permanent installations I love these for their UV resistance. The included hangers are useful sometimes, but I've not used them enough to justify for me the extra cost.
