LifeProofFRĒ Series Waterproof Case for Google Pixel 2 - Retail Packaging - Night LITE (Black/Lime)

This case has been great for protecting my phone against drops as well as all elements. I have had it for 1.5 years, and take good care of it. Unfortunately the rubberized border around the face of the case has begun to deteriorate, initially at the corners where it seems like there may have been more pressure and friction being inside my pocket. This has resulted in a less than desirable appearance as well as now being suspect for true water proofness. I plan to contact the company to inquire about a replacement, but the stated warranty is only one year. If they do offer a replacement I will update this review to a 5-star.**UPDATE** LIfeproof covered my return under warranty. I am satisfied that they stood by their product and continue to use it at this time.

I took this on a trip to Mexico mail to use under water it worked amazing!!!! Also fell out of my holder (not related to case) while ziplining in the jungle fell about 75ft down and landed in a swamp, phone and case undamaged wow!!! Used while snorkeling and was able to video chat from in the water with people back home which was really fun.

I bought this case and have been using it for nearly 3 weeks on my Pixel 2.Pros:The case snaps onto the phone fairly easily and is not too bulky or heavy. My wife commented about how light the phone actually feels even with the case attached. The green/black color scheme was good for me because it matches my automobile and makes my phone easy to spot when I set it down.Cons: The volume and power buttons on the case are now harder to press... maybe with time, they will "loosen" up. The phone is already water proof with a rating of IP67. So no dust will get in the phone and the phone should not have water immersion up to 1 meter. Adding the case will also decrease the likelihood of water and dust seeping into the internal compartments. However, there is a "cost" to this: The membrane that covers the earpiece and mic are hindering the sound quality. Both speakers are used during video playback and are also hindered by the membranes. Some people have issues hearing me and say I sound like I'm in a tunnel. I thought about just cutting the membranes out, but realized that dust and particles will then enter between the case and the phone and I would frequently have to remove the case to clean. There is also a membrane over the fingerprint sensor... it looks cheesy and cheap, but I don't think the manufacturer has any other way of covering that and still keeping it functional. Some other notes, the front "screen protector" portion often creates visible areas where it sticks to the phones screen and is not appealing to the eye.I'm giving this 4 stars because it does do it's intended job and protect my phone better than anything else I've seen. However, technology is a little lacking on the ability of the phone to produce sound through the membranes, but that's understandable when you think about how to actually retains functions and maximize protection.

Bought for the Pixel2. I'm impressed by the design of the case, but disappointed with the overall product. The back feels cheap and slippery but maybe that's by design so it can slip in and out of a pocket. The screen protector, no matter what I've tried, either has the oilslick look to it or dust under it, or both. The speakers and microphone are severely muffled by the mbranes covering them. I understand this is the trade off for a fully protected phone but it's almost unusable for calls if there's any ambient noise.

Dont buy it if you need to make phone calls and need people to hear you. This is great hard, protective case but so good that it is sound proof as well. You have to yell at people for them to hear you. It is waterproof and all, nice looking design, but even for me, that i dont make calls to often, it was a pain. Unfortunately i waited to long and the return window is closed now. But i wont recommended this case if you need to make phone calls. I still give 2 starts because it is shock proof for sure.

I dislike that it is hard to activate/wake up the phone with the lock/unlock button. It requires quite a bit of pressure just to make it work. The sound quality is somewhat muffled by the case. And the reason I bought this case is that in the first Lifeproof case I bought, the button that wakes the phone up or locks the screen/phone failed completely after 18 months of use, it cost me the price of a new case to solve my problem.As for impact resistance and waterproof, I am 100% on board with this case. These are the primary reasons I selected the Lifeproof case for my Pixel 2 phone. The other issues are annoying and I still believe that the button to lock/unlock the phone should last longer than 18 months. It will be interesting to see how long the lock/unlock button lasts on this case.

The case is fantastic. It works fine for phone conversations it is not too muffled to talk to people I have had no complaints. The sound does get distorted when trying to blast the speakers but it is a phone use a blue tooth speaker if you want to play music. The buttons are a little stiff but work fine. The squeeze feature was a little tough but I just adjusted the sensitivity and that is no longer an issue.The only issue I had was with the seller. I got mine for only 23 dollars and it said new but what arrived was a used case in good condition. The case showed up a week late. Amazon was awesome and refunded my order giving me the case for free.

Arrived as described and fits my google pixel 2 perfectly but just because it looks like a duck doesn't mean it is performing like a duck. The cable port cover's rubber seal just fell out. Deeming this product useless. Contacting lifeproof and the seller to find out what is going on.

I bought this because I had a life proof case on my old phone and it was amazing. So I figured I'd get another great case for my new phone.- it feels super cheap- it muffles the sound a lot, I know its a water tight case but I could barely hear my phone at max volume- it makes the finger print reader hard to use- made my pictures look fuzzyand the worse part about this case is a few days ago I dropped my phone putting it into my pocket and the case was fine not a mark on the corner it landed on. However my screen cracked, So thanks for nothing lifeproof.

This case is perfect for travel whether you're going to another country or a local beach! I felt safe knowing that my $$$ phone was housed in this case (note that I never dropped my phone). I really appreciated the slim profile given the protection it provides. The integrity and quality of the photos were not compromised by this case.Complaints:-You have to talk quite loud into the phone in order for anyone to hear you on a call-I wish that these cases came in less masculine colours (e.g. a turquoise).Overall I definitely recommend this case especially if you're camping/travelling and your phone is your main source of documenting memories or trying to figure out what adventure to have next.

I normally love lifeproof. I've had a few before for apple products and they are great. But this one isn't living up to the brand. Sound quality is awefull... Maybe I got a dud... I'm hoping to contact lifeproof to see if they can help as normally customer service is great. That said iTs waterproof and strong!

LifeProof cases are amazing. They can on occasion somewhat lower the sound of the call volume, just due to the case, but the durability and fact that its waterproof gives you the peace of mind that its protected. I have kids and I used and abused this case. When i took it out, it was like i was taking it out of the box for the first time.

I had Lifeproof cases for my iPhones before getting the Pixel 2. They were great. This one is similarly great to protect the phone, but this particular model really muffles your voice when heard by the person you're calling. I remedied it by cutting out the clear plastic over the microphone but that obviously negated the dust and water protection. At least the phone had a high IP rating.
