Baroque

Haven't listened yet but jewel case broken and falls apart when opened.

This is a very nice selection of both familiar and less familiar works from the baroque. I'm not a guitar purist, rather a baroqueophile, and I like to hear arrangements for guitar of works written for other solo/collected instruments. Quite a lot of allegros, but the overall tone of the collection is one of leisurely reflection IMO. Even the fandango has a hint of melancholy about it (no castanets here). I would hate to join the 'relaxing classics' brigade, but It's not a taxing listen and perfect to sit down to with your elevenses.Bit surprised at the rather luxurious retro packaging in a jewel case. With fewer full page pics of the man (I grant you he's a handsome bloke, but I didn't spend my listening time looking at him) and fewer full page section breaks, this collection could have been presented in a cardboard packet with a slimmer booklet.
